For anybody wishing to start their own b and b- go and stay here, THIS is how it's done!

A good sized and comfortable room, spotlessly clean, great views, first class breakfast, very friendly host who shared her extensive local knowledge regarding hiking routes and conditions.

Really great stay. Loved staying here and wish we would have stayed longer. The breakfast was great. It was quiet and comfortable. The lady who runs the place (whose name I never got) was very kind and gave us great recommendations. 10/10 b&b.

Only possible critique was strange electric shower device (but honestly my struggles could have been user error). We had no issues and would love to stay here again.

Everything was fabulous from to the host, Marita to the location and condition of the home. Breakfast was terrific with a menu of delicious options. The room was spotless and beautifully appointed.

Great place to stay for a couple of days

Great view of the fields (sheep and cows) from the room at 1st floor with added bunnies running in the lawn. The room is spacious with 2 rocking chairs (lovely!). The hosts made everything better, they are very friendly and gave us good advice for eating in the area and also Sligo tips for music bars. Breakfast with a view (Benbulben Mountain) was very good. Predefined menus to chose from the night before.

Ceiling is low in some areas in the room. Hit my head a few times.

The home was beautiful and clean. The owners were super friendly and made great suggesstions.

Breakfast on both days was great. Fluffy pancakes and tasty eggs. The view of Benbulben from the window of the breakfast area was beautiful. The view from our room was also beautiful. We enjoyed sitting out front with a hot tea and looking out over the beautiful terrain. It was quiet and peaceful, with only small drive to get back to the main road.

The ability to purchase some drinks so we didn't need to drive into town in the evening.

We like everything! Such a gorgeous view, absolutely great breakfast, very friendly hosts. Benbulben so close is also very pretty and the area has a lot to offer. We didn’t want to leave!

Best B&B experience!

The property is located at the foothills of the Benbulben. 5 minutes drive from the starting point of the Benbulbel Forest Walk and 15 minutes drive from Sligo city centre. You can choose your main breakfast a day before among 6 options. I tried Irish breakfast and avocado toast. Both were delicious. Scones were also delicious and freshly baked. Probably best scones I have ever tasted in Ireland. Our room had an amazing view of the downhill until the ocean. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Last but not least, hosts were very nice and friendly. We had a warm welcome and very good tips for our plans in the following days.

A perfect B&B. Spotlessly clean. A great welcome by Marietta. There was a guest only lounge with TV, books etc. Our room was excellent. The breakfast, we had the full Irish, it was tasty & cooked to perfection. Thank you for allowing us to visit your home, & also thanks to your Mummy, she taught you well.🏡🍳🛌🍀

Everything we wanted it to be and more.

This was the best b&b I've ever stayed in. The hosts have very clear ideas of the standards they want to meet, and these are very high standards. The view of Benbulben from the house is superb, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast exceptional, even the shower pressure is like a massage. There wasn't a speck of dust to be found in the spacious room. This was a weekend away for my partner's birthday and I really couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and provided useful information on sights to see. I can't recommend it enough.

There is no fault I could possibly find with the place. In Ireland these days it seems we often must accept higher costs for diminishing returns, but the hosts at Benbulben Farmhouse provide an antidote to that perception in the standards they hold their business to.

We just loved our stay at Marita and Ian's lovely home! The location is very beautiful, our room was fantastic with a wonderful view, the breakfast was over the moon good, and our host were just perfect! A place that has it all!

What a jewel of a place, with a fantastic host to boot! Marita is such an accommodating host, as well as a walking encyclopedia on all manner of things to do near Benbulben and Sligo, and the entire west coast of Ireland. Breakfast options were delicious and generous, and my room was spacious and immaculate with a sweeping view of verdant fields and ocean. Truly a rare find. I would happily recommend this gem to everyone!

Comfortable B&B

This B&B is set on a lovely quiet area with wonderful views all around. Bed very comfortable we were able to get a great night's sleep. Breakfast was lovely cooked and served by the lovely owners. Its a credit to them they take pride in looking after all their guests ensuring everything is to their liking. Hope to be back again soon.

We spent 2 nights in this wonderful b&b and really enjoyed it. Great location with awesome views. Comfortable bed and the best bathroom during our vacation. Wonderful hosts with good recommendations. Absolutely delicious breakfast options with homemade scones, bread, fruit salad... We fully recommend this place if you are in the area of Sligo.

We spent 2 nights at Benbulben Farmhouse B&B and I can only highly recommend it. There is a large choice of cooked breakfast in the morning in addition to continental breakfast. The room for 3 of us was very spacious, very clean, comfortable and you will find everything you need, TV, internet, very comfy beds and toiletries. The location is wonderful and the views from the breakfast room are amazing. The owners are very friendly and really look after their guests. Irish hospitality at its best ! It is the perfect base to visit Sligo and its surroundings especially for walks around Benbulben.

Storybook setting with luxurious little touches!

The location is storybook, tucked into the mountain looking over the city/water in the distance. The rooms are done so well, all newly renovated. They used lovely linens and towels and had nice touches like tea and biscuits in each room. The breakfast was excellent with a nice selection offered from vegetarian to several meats. It was a wonderful visit, highly recommend.
