La Casa Azul is a beautiful building - it’s an old hacienda and the rooms, grounds and restaurant are just stunning. The rooms are large and with lovely decor, and there are plenty of places around the property to sit in the sun or in front of the fire. It does get cold overnight so the fireplace in the room and in the restaurant are welcome indeed. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean
As I mentioned the rooms and restaurant can get cold so even though there is a fireplace make sure you pack warm clothes! And for those early risers be aware breakfast doesn’t start until 830am and for those used to eating late the restaurant stops taking orders at 7pm!

The hotel was nice but the pics on Booking were no 100% accurate.
It was a smaller property than what it looked in the pictures

Amazing staff and location, have stayed there on more than one occasion.
Room outlets are horrible, won’t hold the weight of a cube charger. Bath linens were paper thin and only one skimpy towel per guest. For such an excellent hotel I was disappointed. Casa Azul can do better, especially at $150 US per night that we paid for a one bed room and two adults.

Love the green space and plants. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Our pup was welcome and enjoyed it too!
No fan in rooms so stuffy.

The most comfortable bed in a long time! The parking is secure and near to the hotel. The breakfast is huge and tasty. Great place to stay in Huasca.
The internet doesn't work in the rooms (where we were anyways) and the TV is very very small so we didn't use it.

The breakfast was great. The location is right on the zocalo, there are restaurants nearby but the hotel has a good restaurant.
I'm not sure if other places in Hausca de Ocampo are any better but there was no internet and the dogs howled all night and it was not peaceful for sleeping. My girlfriend barely slept during the night. I would never stay here again for this reason. Crazy dogs barking and howling near the window all night.

the time before we stayed in the rooms up on the balcony and they were beautiful and sunny but this time we were given room 4 which was dark and bathroom was really small

Service was great, same as meals.
property ( outside the room ) was real country and comfortable .
Hotel is located in the downtown of Huasca
I believe was overpriced for the quality of the room.
Our tub was clogged, after a while you were taking a shower it looks Like swimming pool.
Cleaning service made the beds but didn’t sweep the floor.

An absolutely beautiful hotel likely set in a converted hacienda and featuring stone walls, colorful gardens and burbling fountains. The superior king suite includes a working fireplace (a real plus in winter or fall, I'm sure) and bath tub (spectacularly rare in Mexico). Rooms are attractively decorated and appointed. The gardens are dotted with pretty common areas. There is an onsite restaurant, which provides the excellent and varied breakfast. The location can't be beat, just steps from the center while the secret-garden-like nature of the walled property keeps noise away.
The wi-fi was, at times, nonexistent. This is also an older building, and so the soundproofing is limited, meaning that you can occasionally hear other guests enjoying the common areas (which may be right outside your door). This is a minor issue, however, and should not dissuade you from staying here.

Hotel is really nice, and good location in the centre of Huasca. Staff was really nice and helpful, thumbs up!!!!!
I think they forgot to vacuum the carpet, it was a bit dirty.

Beautiful property.
There shouldn’t be a charge for a second bundle of wood…not for that price.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, good value
Location is great
Love the fireplace
Water wasn't really hot and didn't last long warm
One waiter was rude
Hard to figure out parking and hassle to get stuff to the hotel (simple directions and someone to tell you to leave your stuff when you first ask would help enormously

The grounds are absolutely stunning. the restaurant (on site) was fabulous. Again, the gardens are spectacular.
The room was beautiful and spacious.
While we had a fireplace and logs, we couldn’t communicate that we NEEDED kindling to START the fire. Although, the bedding was wonderful and cozy.
