Lots of green space and nice gardens and pool area. Plus nice common areas to use in the main building.

I’m torn about this place. It’s a beautiful setting and the room was lovely and comfortable. The swimming pool was great for cooling off and relaxing. However the service was so hit and miss. It ranged from being super diligent (check in, room cleaning and laundry) to rude, dismissive and generally poor service during breakfast and dinner. It was so mixed and inconsistent, but it took the shine off the overall experience. Running out of breakfast foods on more than one day, running out of ice, not enough tables for guests to sit at and no attempts to speed up a resolution even when tables became free (slow to then change over), poor table service (rude and no clue on how to lay a table - expecting guests to eat off stacked up plates, rather than removing empty ones). We saw other guests complain directly and we could understand why. It was mainly one member of the team.

Ambiance, facilities, food and the staff!

There was a mix up and although we’d had the reservation for weeks, we were asked to stay somewhere significantly inferior for one night, yet were expected initially to pay their fee for that night rather than the significantly cheaper fee charged by the alternative accommodation. That was resolved at my request.

What a wee gem! Very charming, beautiful gardens and very attentive stuff made our stay so relaxing ☺️

Our stay did not go well. We had to leave after two nights, as the heat was impossible to deal with. The decor, furnishings etc were beautiful, with two nice lounge areas. However these areas could not be enjoyed as they were extremely hot. The doors to outside and the garden were always wide open, letting more heat in, and also the mosquitoes. The garden was also not what I would call manicured. It was rather wild and overgrown. The pool was lovely, very clean and pretty, but with little shade.

At breakfast there was no-one serving who spoke English, which made it very difficult to communicate, resulting in wrong things being brought to us. Although we had air conditioning in our room, the rest of the establishment was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The temperature outside was 38 degrees celsius. So instead of enjoying the common areas, we had to stay in our room to keep cool. Breakfast was served outside, and because of the heat the only things on the serving table were cakes and biscuits. No fruit, cheese, meats, butter, yoghurt etc. could be put out as they would be ruined by the heat. There was a very brief menu, which did not even mention fruit. We only ordered it because we saw someone else with it, and pointed it out to our server.
