The Round Window

The property was easy to find, allocated parking was fine. We arrived at 7pm, the accommodation was 50 yds from a nice pub serving great food. It is a five minute downhill walk to a variety of shops, restaurants, and other pubs. A further few minutes to Bowness quayside, and a nice walk around the area. We stayed for two nights, and the property was good for a short stay, whilst everything was there, we didn't use the cooking facilities.

We were there during pretty cold weather, and the only dislike (if you want me to be picky) is that the room heating was just about o.k. , under the very comfy duvet was better.

The flat is in a good location for exploring Bowness. There was a side view of the hills from the bedroom and the bed was comfortable. Loved the round window as a feature. The shower was good and the kitchen area provided everything you would need. The whole place was clean and tidy and we would certainly book here again in the future.

The parking was a tight parallel-parking space, so you need to be a good driver. The chairs could have been a little more comfortable. Access to the flat is via a spiral staircase which may not be suitable for everyone so should be mentioned when advertising it.

Unfortunately the property is cleaned/maintained by a local company and it needed a dam good clean, bathroom was mouldy , the mould wiped off with cleaning wipes . It was freezing on arrival - storage heaters in the property with three additional plug in heaters that are needed . It felt un loved and needs an update and deep clean asap . We were offered and accepted a refund
