Spotless cabin, comfy bed and stocked with everything you need. Thoughtful owners who obviously care about their guests. Lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves and enjoyed the river, fires at night and all the great spots to relax. Especially loved feeding the deer that were feet from us as well as the birds and squirrels. Even saw a fox! We would definitely return, and you won't be disappointed with this beautiful spot.

This cabin was perfect for a group of 9. It had everything we needed and I appreciate the amount of towels available. There was great outdoor space on the porch and in front for safe kid friendly space. The kids had a blast and can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed the quiet peaceful atmosphere that this cabin had to offer. Even though the Medina water level is low, we were able find enough water to float on tubes and enjoy the natural surroundings. This place had everything we needed to cookout and a spacious porch to hang out in the morning. Carol and Lyn were great hostesses! We will definitely be back.

A rough-looking drive into the property, not in the owner's control, was offset by the setting when we arrived at the cabin. Quiet, secluded, well designed for relaxing on the porch watching deer and the creek view. Owners are delightful and set up a Christmas Day potluck for the campers and locals that was very nice. Strangers enjoying each other's company. Will return in a different season.

Our Eclipse experience was made immaculate by the setting of this gorgeous property & river access…. It was the perfect place for family & close friends to share experiences together and make memories. Lots of beds for everyone, a good kitchen for family meals, and the best spot for relaxing adventures…! Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay in the cabin! The whole team was so friendly and helpful with any questions. They even helped us with our flat tire. The beds were clean, soft, and comfortable. The kitchen and bath were well stocked. Access to the river is quick and easy. We loved getting to feed to deer, birds, and squirrels. Our dog loved the large porch. We definitely plan to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay in Carol-Anne & Lyn's cabin on the Medina!! They, Andrea, and the pups were so welcoming, kind, & helpful. Since this place is on the river, I had prepared myself for a lower expectation of cleanliness, but was I wrong & so pleasantly surprised. The cabin was incredibly clean & tidy! It had all the comforts of home when it came to the kitchen, so cooking and grilling was a breeze. Plenty of plush towels & extras. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was soft & inviting. The one private access bedroom was perfect for our adult daughter & the bunk beds were fun for our two little ones. We loved having coffee on the huge porch with the wildlife. This is such a safe & peaceful property. The river is a short trek away with plenty of spots to soak & explore. I was worried about finding a quiet spot on the river for the day, but it was the complete opposite. There is plenty of amazing riverfront to spread out from others, but also opportunities to say hi to other visitors if you like. The water was so clear with beautiful views! Our kids loved catching frogs & crawdads in the evenings. Bandera is nearby if you need anything, plus they have some needed items in the office for sale. We ordered pizza from the Dough Joe in town & it was excellent. Thank you so much for the wonderful vacation & for all your hospitality! Your efforts toward guest comfort & extras show! This was one of the best & most relaxing trips we have taken. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous time here! The house was cozy and clean and right next to the water. Our family loved building a rock dam and skipping rocks on the colder days and floating on the river in tubes on the warmer days. We went into San Antonio one day. Our dog stayed at the cabin. The owner took Penny out for a long walk for a very reasonable fee. It was great to know that Penny was taken care of while we were visiting the sites in San Antonio. Thank you!

Property was perfect, and had everything we needed. Enjoyed feeding all the critters. Deer, squirrels, turkeys, Porcupine, birds etc. house was extremely comfortable! Hated to leave. Back home and missing the porch already.

We had such a great time at the Boulderdash cabin. The property is gorgeous and has great river access. The cabin was clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need to stay. The owners and camp host were wonderful and very helpful. We hope to be back again!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The views were great and there is plenty of room for kids to explore. The river was low, but that didn't dampen the fun we had. The location is a little secluded, but still close to State parks and the town of Bandera. All in all, if you want a peaceful spot, this is the place.

What a special place to relax and enjoy the Medina! The cabin was clean, very well equipped and so comfortable! The covered deck facing the river provided a lovely place to watch the birds, the river, and families enjoying this fantastic setting. My dog enjoyed it as much as I did! Best of all, the owners and the camp host were amazing.., welcoming and attentive. I would recommend Boulderdash cabin! I know I will be back as soon as I can!!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our trip to the cabin. We really enjoyed our walk along the river and sat on the front porch and listened to the water flowing. The cabin was spotless and had way more room then what we were expecting. Also the bed was very comfortable.

We went for a long family weekend, 4 adults and 2 kids. Perfect setting: clen, convenient, gorgeous view over the Medina River. A detail telling everything about the attention to comfort for the guests: a lot of towels are available! We found our local vacation spot, count on us to come back!

We had so much fun. Not much water but the kids had so much fun in the water there was and on the rocks. Cook out and nice walks. Animals to see and a town nearby where a festival was going on. Great place and the owners were so nice. I will return and recommend for a quiet family stay.

When first getting to the property. The host family that runs the place, are SUPER friendly! They were extremely helpful and even wheeled down the wood that we paid for. The house was extremely clean, and there was plenty of towels provided. My family will for sure be returning, and we will HIGHLY recommend to anyone else!

Campsite was private and relaxing. We hiked along the river, kids kayaked a bit, and hubby fished. The quiet was much needed. My only concern was the cleanliness....the shower curtain was moldy and the couch was patched with what looked like a giant bandaid. ...made me wonder if the rest of the cabin had been adequately cleaned and sanitized.

We love Boulderdash cabin. We loved the location. We were not treated nicely by property manager when I had a few family members arrive for the day. This was upsetting especially after seeing the camping spots next to us had people coming and going every day. I didn't feel we were treated fairly. I felt we were treated like criminals however later in the day the property manager did apologize and tried to make things right. I appreciated him doing that. Beside this issue, we loved Boulderdash and would go again. My kids had a great time looking for frogs and crawdads. We also did some fishing. Boulderdash owners were kind enough to allow us to bring our dogs which we loved. We would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boulderdash! The cabin was perfect for our family and we all had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, and our kids loved the DVD collection. We had a great time hiking up and down the riverbed and loved seeing all of the deer and other wildlife. Andrea and her family were wonderful hosts and invited our girls up to feed the deer, which they absolutely loved. The owners were easy to reach when we had an issue with the door code, and resolved our issue smoothly so we could get right in and enjoy our stay. We hope to be back again!

Our family had a lovely time at Boulderdash. The cabin was as described and the river, although low, was incredibly fun to explore. Our boys, ages 8 and 11, had a wonderful time fishing and even wading in the river with our dog Spots. A wonderful family getaway from the hectic mess of 2020!

Location is amazing- lovely to sit on the porch in the morning looking out at the river. We loved kayaking and skimming stones on the river. Lovely that our dog could go loose. The firepit and loungers by the river at night was a highlight. And smores! The cabin was cozy, comfortable and very well equipped . We really felt like we escaped to nature for a few days.

We loved the quiet. Our goal was to "get away from it all" since none of us got a vacation this year due to the pandemic. All of us were amazed at the abundant wildlife. The river was really low, but deep enough to swim and float just a short hike downstream. The cabin was well stocked with all the items we needed. I think our favorite visitors were the hummingbirds! Thanks for a lovely getaway spot!

I loved this place. So quiet and away from everything. Lots of wildlife sights, good for hiking and great for doggies. The only thing is that the river was a low, but that is not on their control. I would definitively stay here again. 100% recommended

This place is Amazeballs! Beautiful setting, comfy beds, they even had provided a S'mores setup, bird seed and corn for the deer. Very thoughtful. There was plenty of "extra stuff" like condiments in the fridge, soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. They even had a raised bed on the deck and treats for the fur babies. Because of this, we left a bunch of tennis balls, to wear those puppies out. The water was really, really low but there were a few small berms built to hold the water better. I was trying to book for next year the same evening we got there. We plan on renting the tent sites too for our kids and grandkids to stay.
