The location was excellent! 5' walk or less on a fast pace from Paddington train/tube station, which is also a stop for Heathrow Express (so its very worth to get the Heathrow Express tickets where the child ticket is also for free) and is a stop on the new Elizabeth line. Also, London street which is on the corner, is a vibrant street with restaurants, pubs and shops. I had my elderly mother with me and they put us in a bigger room without me asking and they accomodated us with a ground floor room when i sent them the doctor's letter that explained my mom's poor health.
The breakfast was hearty, simple English breakfast which was freshly made and brought to your table by the very polite ladies working there! Eggs, beans, bacon and also bread buttter jam fruit milk and cereal coffee and juice. I had read some complaints on booking about the breakfast but really i can't see why. It was fresh and tasty and hearty. Yes, the breakfast room is a bit small so one time we had to wait for someone to get up but we, as every one else, waited no more than 5-10'. Really not a problem! And that didn't happen every day and no more than one group of people at a time.
The room and bathroom were very clean and they went in every day to clean it.
All and all it has a bit of a bed & breakfast vibe, since it's in an old building and quintessentially British decor and feel, but that is what i wanted to be frank. I didn't want the big chain's vibe and facilities. So it was exactly as i expected it to be. There was also a staff at the reception up until 11 at night and very helpfull. I would stay there again!
Nothing. Maybe it would help if the breakfast extended to 9 o' clock, but then again it made you go out a bit earlier and enjoy London more! Since we had bad knees and hips if they didn't accomodate us on the ground floor we would unfortunately seriously consider changing to a big chain hotel that has an elevator, so my advice to anyone booking, is to read the provided facilities before booking, because unfortunately this can be an issue. Then again it reflects on the price since it was much cheaper than the big hotels.

The property is in a beautiful area. There was not much I liked once inside the hotel.
Very, very small. Fortunately I could fit into the shower. The single room was cramped and tiny.
