Ski Resort & Hotel Pikku-Syöte

New owner has made nice improvements pretty quickly, at least our room was just recently renovated by good taste and lobby area is actually cozy.

Aamiainen voisi olla vielä vähän monipuolisempi.

Saunavuoro olisi voinut alkaa varemmin, esim. klo.15.00 ja olisi voinut loppua pari tuntia aikaisemmin. nyt joutui odottelemaan liian kauan hiihtämästä tultua-

Pidin henkilökunnan avuliaisuudesta ja sijainnista.

En pitänyt, että hoitoainetta ei ollut… siihen oli lisätty vettä, mikä oli lirua. Huoneessa oli kaksi sokeritoukkaa. Aamupala olisi voinut olla parempi; Kattavampi. Punainen mehu sekä vaaleanpunainen smoothie kannuissa olivat äkäisen makuisia omaan makuuni… perunat oli kovia ja kylmiä. Kannussa oleva vaalea ehkä omenamehu ei ollut omenamehua vaan ennemminkin smoothieta. Olisin kaivannut omenamehua ja tuoremehua. Nakkeja ja lihapullia olisi voinut olla sekä appelsiinilohkoja. Salaatit olivat vettyneitä. Tv:ssä oli automaattinen puheenohjaus, mikä oli tosi ärsyttävä eikä sitä saanut pois päältä monen yrityksen jälkeen…

The location was great, also it was not during the peak season so it was (supposed) to be a bit quiter. Service was attentive but the front desk was not to be seen several times. I understand cost wise and that its almost end of the season. The food in the in-house restaurant Kotva was great, dinner and breakfast. Beds were newish and comfortable. Views from the window were grand.

Its an non-brand hotel, so no clear signs were available for the main entrance. Mostly just printed out notes in the window(s), wall(s), elevators. Same goes for the details of the foods in the breakfast room. Small print and abit worn down pieces of paper. As for the general facilities, the age definetely shows - but not in a bad way. Room was basic and clean, tho shower could've been cleaner. It was not what I expected from the room title "tar deluxe" - but, not having seen the other rooms cannot say really. But it was not deluxe. Ameneties - well, tea kettle and hairdryer ? Used both of them but, I would really emphasize the word "basic" here. Upstairs guest toilet activities could be heard very clearly and same goes for the hallway noises. Also the in-house restaurant Kotva - dinner. I don't like eating in almost pitch dark candle light! Atmospheric, yes but I like to see what I put in my mouth - especially when its not your typical food you eat - the gourmet experience is also a visual thing. Kitchen had some device making whizz sound over the moody music. You could say it was an experience.
