JUNE THRU AUGUST RENTALS ARE FULL WEEKS ONLY, SATURDAY TO SATURDAY. MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AND LABOR DAY WEEKEND RENTALS ARE 3 DAYS ONLY, FRIDAY TO MONDAY. APRIL/MAY AND SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER RENTALS ARE 3 DAY MINIMUMS, ANY DAYS OF THE WEEK.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE LIMITATIONS ON RENTALS:
1) Family groups: If at least one parent of at least one child both stay at the house every night, there are no age limitations.
2) Adult groups: (Defined as no parent/child pair.) All members must be minimum age 23. Sorry, we do not permit a parent or other adult to sign for a group under age 23, and then not stay at the house every night.
3) A copy of government issued photo ID is required for all guests age 18 or over (regardless of parent/child status.)
Rental includes one free reserved off-street parking space.
PAYMENT TERMS:
Payment of rent is required in full on the website at the time of reservation.
A reserve of $400 is placed on your payment card as a damage security deposit.
DISCOUNTS FOR WEEKLY RENTALS:
$100 for renting two consecutive weeks
$50 for return tenant renting full week
All in season rentals include a professional cleaning service before your visit at no charge.
HOW COMMUNICATION WORKS
1. If you have any questions before committing to rent, you can ask them on the website and we will answer.
2. When you are ready, make your reservation with payment on the website.
3. We'll email you a contract, you fill it out and return it to us. We will also send a packet of information.
3. Approximately 2 weeks before your dates, we'll mail you parking pass and key.
4. Please remember this rental is not a click-and-forget process. If you make a reservation request, please check this website and/or your email several times in the next 24 hours in case we need additional information.

We are off Saulsbury Street, mid-ocean block, south side, nestled among other cottages 5 lots from the beach. From our house to the surfline is 150 yards. On quiet nights you can hear the ocean from the bedroom windows.
Two bedrooms include one with a built-in full size double bed (storage space underneath) and one with a built-in bunk bed combination (full size double on the bottom and twin on the top). Living room has a full size futon.
Living room/dining room kitchen is a wonderful open space plan with partial cathedral ceiling and skylights. Living room has an indoor swing for kids which can be stowed out of the way if you wish. Games and puzzles for kids. Master bedroom and living room have skylights. There is a clothes washer/dryer. There is no dishwasher.
Dewey Beach occupancy laws allow 2 persons per bedroom plus 2 in a living area on a sleep sofa, making a maximum occupancy of 6 for our house. However, our cottage/small house is most comfortable for up to 4 adults or a family of up to 6 with children. Seating inside is a 3 seat futon plus 6 dining chairs. The house is 450 square feet in size.
It is about a mile to the town of Rehoboth, which has many attractions including the Boardwalk and Funland for kids. The Jolley Trolley runs every 10-15 minutes if the walk is too far. Fast food, casual and formal restaurants, as well as shops and activities, are available within steps in Dewey Beach.
We have vacationed here since we bought the house in 1995 as a childless couple waiting to adopt, and have precious and priceless memories of weekends and summer weeks here as our family expanded with two daughters from Russia (now 34 and 30), and a daughter and grandchildren from Mexico (30, 18, 15 and 9).
Over the years we have been blessed to share our vacation home with family, friends and tenants who have made memories of their own, and shared some with us through notes, cards and photos.
Our goal is to provide you with a wonderful vacation experience like we had in Rehoboth/Dewey Beach as children: a basic beach cottage with the ocean only steps away, and a place where kids can be kids and adults can relax and not be concerned about sand and wet suits.

One of the first things I asked Keith (the owner) was, "Is it noisy from all the traffic?" He said, "No." and it wasn't!
This is a lovely small house with two bedrooms, living/dining/kitchen and a bathroom. There were just two of us, but we could have easily had two kids along and still had room to breath.
The location is perfect - a 1 minute walk from the beach without having to cross traffic.
The house was a nice place to rest and sleep between resting and sleeping on the beach.
Dewey is reputed to be a "party" town, but as I said at the beginning, you can't hear traffic, let alone revelers.
