Tambua Sands Beach Resort

A beautiful idillic location right on the beach We were so lucky to have our own plunge pool with our beach front buree The room was amazing and we were so thrilled It exceeded expectations Very comphy bed I am a light sleeper so be aware you have road noise as is close to road Earplug’s each night solved that & I slept really well Was totally perfect All the staff are so lovely and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need Make sure you take your water shoes so you can wander out as there is exposed coral and rock at low tide Par for course being on the Coral Coast Was fun seeing the fish swim around your legs It is a small adults only resort which makes it quiet and relaxed So peaceful A little hidden gem Will definitely be back to Tambura Sands 🥰

The only thing that let the resort down was the food The menu needs a Fijian flare and they need to improve quality of cooking The management are aware of this and are trying to make changes to better train their cooks and step this area up Also it is a matter of picking the right things off the menu Pizza’s are good If you get a chance to try Tui’s Kokoda and Fiji Coconut Caramel dessert they are divine!! The breakfast sides of bacon, eggs etc at $6.90 over and above the continental breakfast were huge servings and great value All the positives by far out way this one negative!! 😃

The staff were amazing always have the biggest smiles want to know where you have come from so helpful Tui and Skulie our activities boys keeps us going will all sorts of games singing reef walks crab and frog races fun packed week we had

Sorry to be a little negative but the glass on the beach needs to be addressed and maybe the rubbish lying around in the drains out front of resort from the village could be picked up daily

The Ocean Villa was spacious for two. We sat outside a lot. The views out over the reef and ocean lovely and calming. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and always checking to see if you need anything. The gardens and landscape are excellent and well maintained. You are staying in a tropical paradise. The daily activités, most were free and some with a nominal charge, were great and we would encourage others to do them. It was great being able to swim and snorkel on the reef in front of us. First off, do a guided snorkel and reef walk as these will alert you to the dangers of the currents and layout of reef for future solo/duo swims is recommended. We’ll come back and recommend TSR highly.
