extensive work around the hotel and parking place which is not mentioned, barely found a parking space which is one of the reasons I booked. Fortunately one of the employees was kind enough to move her own car so i can park mine.

Good and efficient for short trips.

It is a good hotel for short trips, and with the prices they offer, it is efficient. The street where the hotel is located doesn’t have much activity, but within just a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Ehrenfeld area, which is very lively, with multicultural restaurants and bars.

Right now (October 2025), there is construction around the hotel — it’s noisy from 8 in the morning onward. Just in case you are planning to stay in the room the whole day.

Our stay was wonderful with an attentive staff and great amenities.

The staff went over and above. They were so incredibly helpful. Great location. The area was very lively and cute. Including restaurants, shops and grocery stores nearby. Room and hotel in general very clean. Water and fruit available all day. Breakfast included a variety of breads, fruits, cheeses, eggs, meat yogurts, juices, coffee and tea.

A great base in this part of Cologne. Clean, suitable rooms. Easy check in. Dog friendly although high extra cost.

A great location for us in Cologne with parking behind. Comfy rooms with a basic breakfast and easy late check in that we appreciated. Thanks for the continuous bottled water. It’s great that they accept dogs, although the €15 euro extra per night is steep and put the cost higher than nearby apartments which would have had a bit more space. The lift is a plus when on upper floors, saves carrying baggage up. It’s a clean, great base in this part of Cologne, and was ideal for our trip. Breakfast was simple (we’re not big breakfast eaters) and as vegans we could eat bread with jam and a piece of fruit. Owner was communicate via booking.com and text message for smooth check in. I’d recommend as a base and stop over for my clients when visiting this part of Cologne!

There was nothing we didn’t like, however the next door construction work could be annoying to some guests due to the loud noises. Completely out of the control of the hotel owners, and that’s construction and progress for you, but just wanted to say that if you wish to stay around Sept 25 onwards be prepared and bring ear plugs :) or perhaps the hotel could offer these during this construction time?

Its good, but missing some details

The bed and shower were fantastic, great location, kind staff, free water

Mostly lacking in certain facilities in the room. No airconditioning, even with a ventilator, it was still guite hot. No fridge in the room to cool your food and drinks. The shower curtain did not work at all, so it was always a water park in the shower. Also, I found the breakfast lacking, missed some warm dishes for breakfast, such as sausages and omelets. Does not have to be much but some variety in my opinion, more fruits would have been great.

Very kind hosts but the location is not great.

Staff and owners were really friendly and helpful. Everything was really clean and the bed was comfortable with good quality linen. There's onsite and on street parking. Good basic hotel.

Noisy building site next door - not the fault of the hotel. The neighbourhood is scruffy and quite a distance from the city centre. However there is a great family Turkish restaurant opposite - recommend highly. All in all, the hotel cold do with facelift, but it's basic and adequate.

Excellent service good communication, clean, comfortable and lovely breakfast. We were made feel welcome by hosts. Our dog was welcome food/water bowl and treats in room when we arrived. Free bottles of water and fruit during stay. 10 min walk to metro station.

Room was warm so we needed the window open. The traffic was noisy it didn’t bother us too much as we live in noisy road in London. If you want a quieter night request room facing away from road or fan in room.

The staff were wonderful - they were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and transport options. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely.

Great off key location if you are visiting Köln.

This little hotel illustrates exactly why I do not book a room in a big modern facility, it has charm and it’s well located. There is an amazing Turkish grill on the other side of the street and a very convenient parking, very friendly staff. A true Köln experience.

It’s a bit noisy but it’s a city hotel, you here cars or people talking in the lobby but nothing really annoying.

Very welcoming people

Very kind, English speaking staff. A small scale hotel, easily reachable through Köln-Ehrenfeld. Walking there takes you through a nice little park :) The room was fairly clean, but I did find some hairs in the bathroom sink and a dead silverfish on the floor. The shower has great pressure and temperature. The room was also fine. I loved the extra details such as toiletries, a little box with needle & thread, a cookie on the pillow :) There were even feminine hygiene products there. Also the extra pillow was very nice! I would definitely stay here again if the prices are a little better. The breakfast was also very good.

The TV didn't work :( And the shower was very small, there was hardly space to shave legs or move around with the shower curtain closed. Because it was so small, I accidentally spilled water on half the floor of the bathroom. I really liked my stay, it was the pricing that made me slightly lower the score. I understand because it was a Saturday and there was a big football match, but still the price was just a lot.

A fabulous find!

Our rooms were light, spacious and clean. The host looked after us perfectly. Breakfast was great - lovely fresh boiled eggs each morning and a selection of breads, meat, cheese and fruit. The hot shower was fabulous! Great little find!
