Charming place to stay for our time in Gordes

We were a group of 5 friends and all of us loved staying at Le Bonheur. The location was perfect. A quick and picturesque walk to the centre of town. We are from Australia and Le Bonheur felt really French, the style and decor of the house was perfect and the views from the bedrooms were amazing. We also enjoyed the outside area and the spa.

Location in town close to everything was wonderful. Hosts left us a bottle of champagne in the fridge and lots of good information about the area. The outdoor deck was perfect for relaxing and having picnics. My son even enjoyed the jacuzzi. Easy parking was a plus. Easy drive to other interesting villages close by.

Beautiful and charming house - great for families or groups

This is an old house not far from the center of the village. It is very charming with fantastic view from the rooms in the top floor. Bottom floor has a very well stocked kitchen, living room, and small terrace with a Jacuzzi (very nice). Second floor has a master bedroom and top floor two additional bedrooms - all very beautiful and comfortable. Center of the village (with restaurants, shops etc) accessible on foot via a short but very steep climb (stairs and steep small streets). Free parking next to the house - though note it is not trivial to access via small winding roads. Interaction with host via booking interface very convenient and easy. Key pickup easy too. WiFi ok. Overall a fantastic stay for a family or large group of friends, in a very charming house in a beautiful village. Worth the price in our opinion.

Note the house would be difficult to access with a big car like we had (a van) if you want to get all the way to the doorstep (there's a steep hairpin turn right below the house). But you can park 10 meters below with no problem. I guess this is a small price to pay for the picturesque location.

Such a perfect location to see Gordes. But our favourite thing was the house itself, the design, all the amenities, the views, the terrace! All amazing.

Fabulous first visit to Provence…

The location was perfect. Le bonheur is in the heart of the village. We didn’t have a car but found that during the day, it was well placed for us to visit the village sights and a good start point for various loop walks. At night, we generally ate out at one of the many lovely restaurants in the village (La Trinquette and L’Outsider were our favourites). We also had great weather, a bonus when we are almost in November! There is also a lovely bakery and supermarket very close to the property.

Fantastic views and location, very unique yet comfortable house. Airconditioning worked very well and we enjoyed bottle of Rose’ that they left us
