I'm not going to lie....I didn't have super high expectations as the room was quite cheap and it was titled "cozy double" but as it was a work trip it didn't matter so much. There was nothing cozy about the room itself. Lovely and spacious with a large en suite. If I were to stay with my partner for leisure, I'd have also been absolutely delighted. Again, breakfast was included and for the price, I only expected cereals or continental so again, I was thrilled to have a fantastic cooked breakfast in the morning. Staff were super friendly and the village is very charming. I'd 100% stay here again!

The location was great and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The beds were comfy and the shower was good. Room clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.

The carpet in the room seemed a bit dirty but it was difficult to tell because it was dark. One of our rooms had some damp damage on the wall, although there was a sign apologising for this and advising that there had been a leak. I think it either should've been repaired or a discount applied.

Lovely place and staff would stay again although would possibly find somewhere else to eat in future

Room was very clean and staff were friendly

Food service very poor waited 20 -30 min between courses restaurant not very busy . Husband had mushroom starter very bland although presented very well. Husband main course steak was ok again present well - I had a pie which quite honestly was so salty I could not eat it. Did not have a sweet however husband had carrot cake with blood orange sorbet presented well but that combination did not work well for him.

Nice room and value for money, if you’re a heavy sleeper and don’t mind noise.

Whilst the room was nice and spacious I can’t ignore the fact that we got no more than 3 hours sleep due to constant noise from the pub and other guests. Loud music playing to a near empty pub until 10:45pm on a Sunday night. Our room was on the first floor directly above the bar, it may have been quieter had we been on the second floor. Dogs in the pub barking, and constant doors slamming doesn’t help either. Road noise to be expected and wasn’t overly an issue. Just wish they’d at least turned the music down on a Sunday night so people who wanted to sleep, could actually sleep. And whilst other guests aren’t necessarily the hotels fault, the room directly above us almost certainly had a dog running around on the creaky floor all night, as well as loud shouting of which continued until 2:30am. It’s a real shame the noise levels completely lets the stay down as otherwise it was a lovely room.

Marvellous stay for 3 nights. Will definitely be happy to book again

All staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was consistently good both in terms of portion size and taste. Set us up for the day. The evening meal we had first night was delicious. One of the best burgers I've had and partner had nothing but praise for the swordfish. The room was a good size and immaculately clean and well serviced. Shower was excellent. Bar prices were reasonable and indeed cheaper than other venues nearby. Location for exploring the town on foot was ideal and easy access to the one-way system meant exploring further afield was not a problem either. Despite being close to the road and over the bar noise wasn't a problem for us.

Room was a little on the warm side but improved when radiator turned down. Extractor fan in bathroom noisy.

A wonderful place to stay in the New Forest

Noise levels for stay above the pub was soo loud until midnight Base from live band event you could feel in the room and you couldn't sleep through it Directionly outside below your room was the outdoors space again super loud people outside until late So if you are looking for a quiet weekend away this is not the place to go had l known this prior to visiting l would have booked somewhere different

It was in a very convenient position for town.

Every time you opened the shower door it pushed the shower tidy off. The curtain were put on back to front, so the lining was on the inside of the room. After a rainy night there were puddles of water on inside window sill.

Only one station worked on tv and that kept buffering all the time, the shower was awful, went from freezing to scalding and was coming out like a trickle, food was ok , but too many dogs in restaurant barking , not a nice atmosphere, we stayed in mailman’s , not sure what rooms in stag like, room was clean and nice on the surface but the shower and tv were awful, also warned about the band , I suggest if you are not going to see the band or stay out till after 11pm do not stay here, our room was vibrating, that was ok as we were out anyway , just poppped back , but I would not recommend this hotel , for this area I thought it was below par

A great easy weekend break. Stress free.

Parking easy on back road behind pub.Welland road. Check in and staff welcoming. Room clean and acssessed from metal stairs between 2 pubs Mailmans and Stag. Easy electro key system. Breakfast lovely choices from Yoghurt and. Berries to fryed and lots inbetween. Great free flowing coffee. Location right on a great High street with lots of intersted shops and eatiries. Bonus a very short drive away the forest with free roaming horses and donkeys and the odd piggies. Lots of picnic sites too. Lyndhurst on the main bus route either ways Lymington or Southampton and more. Had a long weekend break and the stay here made it both easy and enjoyable.

It was a last minute decision to stay for the night but I would return.

Lyndhurst is a lovely place in the New Forest. Shame about the amount of traffic that runs through it. Breakfast was good. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Very good shower. Staff were friendly and helpful.
