The location is perfect for visiting Lamar Valley. The room was actually a small log cabin, probably built in the 1950s or 60s. The room was clean with 2 comfortable beds. Nice and warm during cold weather. The bathroom shower is very small. This is not a high priced luxury motel. You are paying for the location. Don't expect service to your room. We had to ask when we needed towels and we took out our trash. The front office hours vary, you never know when staff will be in.

The cabin we stayed in was clean and a good value for the cost.
Booking.com had identified the property as having a separate bedroom incorrectly. The cabin did have 2 beds but was set up as a studio.

The young lady who checked me in was helpful and pleasant. The room itself was clean The bed looked pretty new and was comfortable. The checkout was simple.
You have to remember where Cooke City is, meaning in between other destinations with few lodging options. I was surprised no air conditioning but there was a fan. I looked on the web site and it said fan not AC. It was warmer than I cared for. There are no phones in the rooms AND as there is no cell service in the area what do you do if you have a after hours emergency ? The carpet was past it's life but guessing new ones wouldn't survive the winter or snowmobile crowd.
