Had a lovely stay and would recommend it to everyone.

Spa perfect, a lot of sauna's and pools. 10 euro per person for the whole day, in my opinion very cheap! Breakfast was very good. Enough space in my room

Absurd overreaction

Nice location and therme

Unfortunately we had a sad stay there. As we were a bit loud and the hotel staff told us to be more quiet, taking a simple sign off the wall(without breaking absolutely anything) led to an absurd overreaction from the hotel staff taking us out of the hotel with 15(FIVETEEN!!!) Policeman, which was totaly absurd, as we were completely polite, cooperative and absolutely not agressive! There was nobody from the hotel staff who even wanted to hear our point. Only the point of view of one of their colleuges was taken into account, ours completely IGNORED! After calling back to get my money back at least for the second night(as we were in the hotel at the most 20minutes for the first day only), I only got rude behaviour and answer that I don't get nothing but I can wait on the phone - after 15 mins of waiting they hung up.

I loved the staff. They were professional and attentive! I enjoyed paying for a massage service on-site. I had a great 90-minute session. I loved the location of the hotel to the main area of Cologne. The room was luxurious!

Great location and good comfort.

Within walking distance from city center, Rhine and good neighborhood for dining out. Nice view from roof top bar.

There should have been time periods for entering baths/pools nude so the family audience with teenagers can enter without to much embarrashment. Also people sunbathing nude at roof top, maybe there could have been screens to separate area for that?

Great hotel, great facilities and friendly staff.

Our room was upgraded and was amazing. The spa is calm and relaxing with good facilities. The roof top garden with a bar was great and very relaxing for some sunbathing and restful moments. The aufgus every hour was a great bonus too. Literally cannot fault this location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning to this hotel very soon.

A kettle in the room would be nice but the fact there isn’t one doesn’t take anything away from what a great place this is to stay at. Cannot really fault this hotel.

Depends on what you’re looking but be aware

The room was specious and the bed was comfy

The pool is away too small than on pics. Also it opens late in the morning and warm you there naked men and women swimming, in sauna and jacuzzi. I had a shock they didn’t allow to wear bikini in the sauna and seen three naked men went in while I was in my bikinis they were completely naked. I didn’t take jacuzzi since again women and men were naked sitting in it. So disappointed and the hotel should clearly stated their swimming and sauna roles on the websites.

Visit the spa during the day!

The saunas are wonderful, great variety, and the whole spa area is very relaxing, clean, and spacious. The location is also excellent and, the hotel is very accessible via train, which we loved. Cool area, too, with a great Vietnamese restaurant nearby.

Maybe don't go to the spa area alone late at night if you are a woman...my wife was followed into a sauna by a man who offered unwelcome compliments on her body. This, after she witnessed a couple being...intimate...in the pool. There is a whole list of rules and signs posted all over, but inevitably some will ignore them. We were both much happier with the vibes during the day, and very happy with the variety of saunas, and the pools! We'll be back.

Value is not good

The location is pretty well. It's close to Zulpicher Platz and Neumarkt (10-minute-walk). Although it's in the middle of the city, it's very quiet during the night and in the early morning.

- Staff could be friendlier: The woman at reception who checked me in appeared not very motivated. Also she did't tell me about the wifi-password. - As a hotel guest you still have to pay for the spa. Although it was just 10 Euros, I think the spa should be free for guests. - I had to pay another 8 Euros for a spa package (bathrobe, towel, slippers). In other 4-star-hotels this package awaits you free of charge in your hotel room. - My hotel room was smelly, although I kept my window open throughout my stay (2 nights). - My room wasn't cleaned the next day and nobody told me about cleaning regulations. Not what I expect in a 4-star-hotel! - The breakfast was 20 Euros, far too much. - All in all value isn't good here.

This is my standard hotel for Cologne and suroundings. You have a fully fledged spa connected to the hotel, so the best relaxation ever after a day full of work. On top it's in the center, if you want to go out and see Cologne!

old dirty carpet, old furniture, smelly, bed way too soft, all in all too dark, wifi not suitable for work, additional costs to go to the pool, people at reception were rude, no air condition in a 4* hotel with pool and sauna?!

The size of the room

No AC in the room, it was really hot and you couldn’t stay with open windows (during night) because it’s quite a noisy area. Staff wasn’t really nice.

okay, if needed

we had triple room, which I never thought would be comfortable, but actually it was.

The room wasn’t clean when we came back after really long workday. Apparently we’re meant to see some notice inside of the room that it needs to be requested to be cleaned, but we didn’t know that so came back today really dirty room and member of staff wasn’t helpful at all when the issue is addressed. He was quite grumpy and argumentative, instead of being helpful and apologetic.

forced nudity in spa, disturbed night sleep and rude staff

nowhere does it say that nudity is compulsory to use the spa facilities and we only found this out after being rudely shouted at by other spa users Walls are thin, can hear next rooms coughing etc, room wasn’t cleaned at all in five day stay, church bells go off at 7am every morning so you get woken up, staff are rude and not interested at all. not worth the money, only booked for the spa which we then could not use as you had to be nude. (pool and sauna was also cold before we got kicked out) room is also incredibly outdated with stained red stripey carpets and leather cushions etc.

Location was great, walk to new market and 2 stops on train or tram to get to the cathedral/old market. Pools were excellent

The pools were awesome but might be a good idea to warn non Europeans that it's mostly nude. My teenage Australian kids were a bit culturally under prepared.
