Hotel Garni Kleist am Kurfürstendamm

Near Pariserplatz and few blocks south of the Savignyplatz S-Bahnfof made this the perfect place for someone who loves to walk a bit — in my case, up to TUBerlin — every day, but is close to many amenities. By chance, I was given the largest room I've ever stayed in: nearly 4-meter-high ceilings with a pair of equally large traditional south-facing window looking onto tree-lined Darmstadterstrasse; and the floor area was about 4-times what I needed (but very much appreciated), and so impressive that I measured it with my (nearly 2-meter arm-span) to be over 5m by 7m — a room fit for a prince! And the best part of all was the care and attentiveness of my hosts — Irina and Elena — who were always friendly and helpful.

There was a bit of low-level public-works being done on Darmstadtstrasse during my stay, but that is and — aside from the temporarily-interrupted aesthetics outside my nice widows — never a problem: that should be over and done with before too long.

Main light didn't work in the room and neither did one of the two lights above the bed, Staff kept entering my room while I was gone and moved my possessions and stuff around
