Gulf-Front 1BR Condo with Beautiful Views

Needs some paint and patio furniture. Other than that everything went very smooth. The location and ocean view is outstanding.

The property was amazing and the views were great.

First of all, this condo is in an EXCELLENT location to main attractions in Destin. It was just a short drive to many restaurants, harbor boardwalk, water park, etc. It’s a very short walk down to the beach. The view from the balcony and bedroom window is beautiful. It was quiet and mostly clean. Check in/ check out was a breeze. It’s family friendly. The beach bar is nice and they even serve breakfast. I do want to be honest and say the floor was dirty when we checked in. Our socks were black just a few minutes after check in. That wouldn’t stop us from staying there again, though, as it’s easily remedied. The biggest issue was the sliding door to the balcony. If you don’t have upper body strength, I’m not sure you could get it open. Many times I had to ask my spouse to open it. Other than those two things, this stay was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again. I can’t recommend it enough. We had a lovely stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Vrbo listing is titled “You can’t get any closer to the beach without getting wet” doesn’t disappoint! Just feet from the dunes and grass from the water! With that said this condo is in dire need of repairs and updates! The phots are pretty accurate without showing the wear. Stuck in the 1970’s, the décor is outdated, but they did update the TVs which we never turned on. Starting in the kitchen, walls paint peeling and the wall of the front door had red paint strokes. The sinks faucet did not swivel, frustrating! There is no washer dryer set, so this makes long stays very difficult. The walls in the living area continue with the peeling paint and the sliding door to the left out to the patio would not open and the vertical blinds were piecemeal together. Several of the corners leading into the hallway were damaged with chipping paint and then more peeling paint on the walls. The bathroom ceilings were peeling and the walls were also peeling paint and there was a stain on the doorstop behind the door. The tub didn’t drain well at all and when I attempted to “plunge“ the drain some very gross stuff started to come up . So I let it be. There was no linen service, so the towels were used we had to pile up in the hallway and then we learn when we left, as instructed, we threw the used linens/towels into the tub. The circuit breaker to the bedroom was tripped . It took about five minutes to fine the breaker box, as it was hidden behind a hanging mirror. The outlet next to the bed had noticeable burn marks from where the outlet had arched. This leads me to believe that there’s some severe issues with the electrical in that building . The bed is a king but the mattress is worn out, as my wife said “I felt like the bed was giving birth to me as I tried to get out“. The windows in the bedroom must be the originals to the condo, wood rot. I did not attempt to open them, scared they’d break.
