A great base for exploring the Golfe du Morbihan

A good hotel,just a short walk from the scenic St Goustan port,Everything works as it should and the location is very peaceful.I have stayed there before and hope to return.

The only negative thing is hardly a fault of the hotel,as my satnav struggles to find it.

Hot room with mosquitoes.

Good, friendly reception, nice enough breakfast, OK location. Clean room.

No ventilation or airconditioning on the room, which got very warm. In addition, the room was already occupied by many mosquitoes. Mattresses were very hard. Given the quite high price, this was a rather disappointing experience.

Nice, comfy hôtel.

Buffet breakfast correct, nice comfy bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Not too far to walk to the port which was lovely with a good choice of bars and restaurants.

Cold fruit juice for breakfast and more lighting in the dining room - it was a bit too sombre.

I didn’t realise it was on a busy road when I booked it but it wasn’t too much of a problem. Probably fine if you at the back of the hotel.

Staff and owners couldn't do enough for you very friendly and helpful,even though there was a language barrier we managed to communicate. Good parking for two motorbikes lovely gardens and a very comfortable bed. The owners gave us a bottle of bubbly on departure which was a kind gesture. Would definitely stay there again..

A bit more of a verity for breakfast, and perhaps coffee making facilities in room would have been nice. But otherwise nothing..

Staff were very welcoming. The bedroom was comfortable, on suite was new, clean, with good shower. Location was peaceful, with nice garden to relax in. Just a short walk down to the port. Secure car parking at the hotel. Good breakfast, not cooked, but typically French. We took our dog (Yorkshire terrier)on holiday with us. There were no issues at all, in fact he was made welcome by the owners. Obviously we were aware potential problems, so we took his bed with us, and kept him on a lead at all times.

We have no complaints regarding our stay at Hotel Le Branhoc.

Lots of free parking, no fuss, clean and tidy with just a pleasant short walk into town.

Nothing really, I'm a light sleeper so woke several times due to small noises here and there, but that's my problem and not the hotels!

A lovely comfortable 4 night stay well placed with plenty of things of interest to visit.

Very helpful and friendly man welcomed us when we arrived and was so obliging during our stay. We had a lovely ground floor room opening out to a little patio with table and chairs overlooking a private garden. The room had a fridge coffee making machine and we asked for a kettle which was supplied immediately. Breakfast was good eaten outside overlooking the beautiful garden which had some very unusual plants. A short walk brought you down into the very picturesque port st Goustan, from this port we took an all day trip to 2 islands in the gulf of morbihan .

Peaceful and efficient,recommended

It was a relief to walk through the door of a clean,efficient hotel.The abundant parking outside the building is such a nice contrast to some of the establishments that stretch the definition of parking to include areas on the street,some distance away.Everything worked as it should and the location is really good.The very scenic St Goustan port is just a few minutes walk away and well worth a visit.

Absolutely nothing to dislike about the hotel,it was all good.The only thing I didn't like was that the sat nav in my car struggled to locate the address,but that isn't the fault of the hotel.

Good location, walked down to Port du St Goustan both nights to the restaurants. Good breakfast, asked for ham and cheese which was not on display, but available, could sit outside for breakfast which was nice.

The hotel is really well managed and taken care of. Very clean and quiet. My room was facing the parking but I was not at all bothered by traffic. Neither did I hear anything from the adjacent rooms. The best part for me was the free parking. I never had a problem finding a space. Breakfast was lovely and service so nice. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. Best quality/price ratio.

The first room we got was very small with low ceiling, also very loud from the road. We had to do an upgrade and the second room was OK.

Very pleasant stay

The room was very pleasant, facing the garden. Guests were welcome to sit in the garden which was very attractive and away from the road. The breakfast was simple though good. The staff were very helpful. We would definitely come again if travelling in the vicinity. It was a very restful stay and an excellent location for travelling to Carnac, Vannes and on the train to Quiberon.

Be forewarned! The restaurants in the port at Auray are expensive, and it appeared the ones in the town itself were not open in the evening so there was less affordable choice than we'd anticipated. (You could drive out to a supermarket to buy a salad or visit another town for dinner, but we'd hoped to make minimal use of the car).

Great value for money.

Walking distance of Auray old town (20 minutes) and on-site free parking. the staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water (simple but effective shower)

The staff was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Clean room, pretty garden. Stayed one night with my boyfriend and we were pleasantly surprised and satisfied. The hotel is very close to the port. Great value for money.
