Big hotel with great beach access

Nice beach, very good buffet food, with great variety. Staff is professional and friendly, but in general, there is no personal touch.

The facilities are huge, but without much charm (same for the rooms). The dining area is not inviting guests to stay more than necessary, and the bar is anything but cozy. (Also a little pricey for that kind of environment). Totally unacceptable is the daily charge for the beach loungers and umbrella. In a 5-star hotel, this should not be an extra.

A wonderful vacation

A great place to relax. Beautiful territory, well-groomed beach with fine white sand, varied meals in the restaurant. Attractive prices in October. Attentive reception service. The aromas of fir and lavender are all over the territory!

Cleaning of rooms and grounds, mowing of plants starts at 7 am! At the same time, the workers are talking very loudly to each other next to your windows. It is also surprising that none of the middle staff greets the guests on the premises.

Perfect place to take a rest.

Quit summer vacation at a very nice location with perfect beach. I liked very much to see the sunrise coming up from the sea side!

Great stay!

Absolutely gorgeous territory, designed and very well maintained, super friendly staff, exceptional cleaningness, the food is so tasty and various, my compliments to the chef, our room had a fantastic overview on the swimming pools and space terrace. Beach is great too. The piano evenings were outstanding- so talented musicians and singers. Thank you for bringing them here! Our huge thanks to cleaning lady Ella from Georgia- she was so pleasant and friendly and to the man who took care of the plants and garden - he was making his job with so much love.

The sunbeds on the beach cost 15 euros per day. It will be great to include this in the price. We felt the lack of activities in September, especially sports.

Best resort stay in many years with amazing food.

Best resort you can find in the peninsula. Exceptional by any means. Cleanness, large rooms and apartments, services, 8 large beautiful swimming pools, but most importantly own long and large white sandy beach with cristal clear, warm turcoise waters with smooth entrance making it great for families with kids. The resort has 2 restaurants serving the same exceptional food. Can't say enough how good the food was. If you care for the shopping and other restaurants, Kallithea is at 2 km or 5€ by any taxi called by the hotel for you. The resort has their own free private parking, very safe and guarded, inside the resort.

Can't really complain about anything, but if I must find something, it's strange the drinks and the coffee are free at breakfast, but you have to pay for all the drinks at dinner time - from water to juices or beer and wine.

Good choice for a family vacation

A lovely complex with various facilities and friendly staff. If needed, guests can take advantage of readily available transfer carts to move around facilities. There is a good variety of foods offered

Meal times could be a bit more accommodating to people with children by moving breakfast and dinner by 30 minutes up. Food in the restaurant near the beach wasn't great for the relatively high price

Perfect beach, wonderful resort - just don't go for the classic accomodation:)

The breakfast and dinner buffet was ENORMOUS with so much food to choose from! Also, there are quite a lot of pools around the appartments which was very nice indeed. The staff were incredibly helpful - each and everyone of them made our stay very memorable.

First of, I have to say that I did not know that Melathron has to offer three different types of accomodation: classic, elegance and luxury. All three are different, with the main difference being the rooms (age of rooms to be more precise). I had the classic experience and I have to say that it felt a bit.. short of my expectations. The classic rooms are wood-based, but the rooms itself seem like they have been built in 2003/04, and have not been renovated since. The bed is squeaky, the bathroom had this unpleasant occasional mould smell, the AC is very old.. and I am writing this review and I am furious to have to write it because I really loved my time at Aegean Melathron, the hotel has the most perfect private beach possible, with an awesome location, with so many good things - and yet I believe that the owners should take a hard look at the classic accomodations and rennovate them as soon as possible. Trust me, money will not be an issue! :)

The setting is spectacular. There is a vast variety of choices at the breakfast and dinner buffets, but the food at the a la carte restaurant overlooking the beach is truly outstanding.

A very pleasant hotel with incredible food and very nice staff.

Breakfast and dinner were very good,,,..nice presentation....great variety (particularly at dinner)... Book a room with a sea-view, well worth the little extra...AND if you like the beach and sea book a room on the lower (beach) front. Beach boys were excellent and very helpful. I found the daily charge of 12 Euros (2 loungers and and an umbrella) petty. Would have preferred a slightly higher room rate with beach facilities included. BUT...a VERY pleasant hotel with outstanding staff...highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel especially outdoor, pools, palms, everything super clean, full of flowers. Amazing food, various choices, all super delicious. Food is 5+! Beautiful beach and seaside, clean.

Wifi connection was poor at the beach, some spots without connection. Also I didn’t like that hotel is charging beach sets to the hotel guests. This is not usual for the hotels, especially 5 star. This must be included in price.

Our stay was pleasant. The staff was very polite and the beach was excellent.

We were surprised that we should pay an additional fee for the beach. During the night we didn't manage to sleep well, because of the noise from the music of the night club nearby the hotel which was till 6:00 am.

Exceptional

We really enjoyed the food cooked by chef Kalin, it was amazing and really tasty. the beach is beautiful, with sand and blue water . You can play voleyball or go to yoga session with Alexandra (she was very nice and always inviting us to try new activities). we will return here, we absolutely loved this resort . relax is the word that described perfectly our holiday.

Some staff was very polite but a few of them were unbearable! the man at the reception was not so welcoming at all and when we wanted to upgrade the rooms he said there were no availability, thank God there was his colleague and she assisted us. And there is waitress named Daniela at beach bar and she was very rude which turnt our very joiable experience into hell.

The hotel deserves 5 star , everything was excellent. At breakfast and dinner there was many choises.The food was very delicious.At the dinner you must pay for drinks , they weren't included.The beach was very good, only you must pay for sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach.Prices from 8-10 euro for one umbrella and two sunbeds.

The matresses were so soft and not comfortable.Also the sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach must be free for the price which you pay

The beach is sandy and the water is crystal clear. No pebbles at all. The animation team is amazing and we had really nice time. The food is also very nice.

I did not like the fact that in all the promo materials nowhere is mentioned that the hotel is devided in two parts - one is at the beach and the other part is at the other side of the main road. If you book pool view they will give you a room at the other side. There are shuttles all the time and it is not so far, but anyway it was not explained anywhere in advance.

Great food and facility, really clean and nice beach.

We had a urgent health issue and she was so arrogant with us, we asked to call a doctor and we found faster than she found info. Please be more plite with your guests especially when they have a urgent situation.
