The Eyre Square Townhouse

Location and 2 bdrm. Very clean. Check in staff was friendly and efficient.

Would be nice to have some mirrors near a wall outlet.

Quiet location a couple of minute's walking distance to Eyre Square.

Very small room and small bathroom. I know that's simply the nature of old European hotels. I also didn't like that there was no elevator and we had to walk up and down three flights of stairs with our suitcases. The front desk staff are not 24/7. They go home at night and don't return until the next day. They also were not as knowledgeable as they should be when asked questions about local sites, restaurants etc. Part of this may be because they were not from the area themselves. They were polite in a basic way but not super welcoming and I didn't feel that they went out of their way to be helpful. For security and other reasons, I prefer to stay in a hotel with 24/7 front desk.

Location and that’s about it to be honest 🤷

Our room was in the eaves of the property overlooking the worst view I’ve ever seen. £500 is a lot of money anyway and especially without breakfast. 53 of us went to celebrate a family 60th birthday and another couple stayed with us but only paid £376 for the same dates. They did have to move to another room after their second night but I would have done that to save £124🤷
