The worst bed I’ve ever slept in.

The bed, the bed, the bed.. Amenities such as soap, they had none. No fresh water available. No front desk.

Great location, lovely decor, room temperature way too hot

Location

Our room on the top floor was way too hot to sleep in, over 25°, which unfortunately couldn't be solved by turning off the heating system and opening the window. Bathroom wasn't really clean.

Mediocre but affordable

The location was prime. It had a lot of space.

The whole place smelled like sewer. The toilet room was minuscule - and difficult to maneuver in. The place felt a little dingey and dirty. There was really no place to sit except the bed.

Good location and comfortable stay!

Very good location and very spacious room! Very clean and comfortable bed.

When in the shower? The water dies not drain fast enough so it overflows the bathroom. It takes a long time for the toilet to be able to flush again. It was very warm in the room, even though I turned of the heaters and opened the window.

Excellent location.

The location was excellent. Great choice for early arrivals and late departures, with the option to leave our bags in the storage room. The storage room is accessible by any of the guests (avoid leaving any valuables there). A recommendation to the owner to have separate lockers for each bag with individual locks. Temperature in the room was very warm - had to open the window. Otherwise we got what we paid for.

One of the beds had a bumpy curve. We were three persons but we had only two blankets. I asked the cleaning staff for an additional blanket — they promised to bring one but never did. The cleanliness was poor; the corners in the bathroom were stained and yellow. Also, the main light in the bathroom wasn’t working.

Great for the location. Needs updating and rooms being serviced would be appreciated.

The location in Burgge was fabulous and it was easy to access with the codes.

The room wasn't serviced and wasn't really as nice as advertised. We had to refurbish the toilet paper in our room Overall, the room was ok, but could use a bit of updating and maintenance.

Comfortable stay in a great location

The hotel was in a great location, everything was on easy reach which was great! The bed was very comfortable, and all bedding and towels were clean. Overall the room was pleasant with plenty of space to move around and was cleaned to a high level.

The room didn’t have an aircon, and it got rather hot up there on the 2nd floor… whilst a small fan was provided it was struggling to cool down the room.

Location was fantastic. Rooms were clean and spacious.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like! Possibly could have had a larger supply of milk etc but having the small fridge there was useful.

Very disappointing!

Closeness to the centre, ease of access to the property

Our room(no 9) was quite shabby (poor floor, dirty/damaged walls, electrical cables running around the room) and not like the images on the website. There was also a see through glass door to the toilet which in a family room seemed very odd. It was very hot when we were there so we had to have the windows open at night but the noise from outside was loud all night, so none of us had a good nights sleep. For the money we paid, I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pleasant stay in the heart of the city.

A nicely decorated and fully equipped and functional apartment, in the city center.

The elevator, although working, was unfortunately not available for guests (I never understood the reason) and we had to walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor. This is a serious drawback and did injustice to a truly beautiful apartment.

Pleasant

The position is perfect to reach all main destinations by walk, the view is very very nice, the decoration of interiors is very cute and cosy.

The elevator is not working ( only for suitcases) and there is always a very bad smell outside the room on the stairs, think comming from WC on the stairs. I think with some efforts from the property such things can be solved.

I would recommend this

Location is great very close to the most important places (walking distance). The bedroom has a decent size, the washroom is nice. Everything was fine with the hotel.

The only bad thing is that if you stay in the rooms with the windows facing the street is very very noisy at night a lot of truck and traffic noise, other than that everything was perfect.

A pleasant stay that suited a low budget.

Overall the room was spacious and comfortable for 4 people, situated in a central but quiet part of town. Beds are comfortable and the room airy when the windows were opened. Bathroom was new and clean.

The facilities were a little basic, no safe or storage and the TV on the wall was tiny compared to the rest of the room and where it was situated. When you have children going to bed early (in a family suite), the TV is quite important. In fact the aerial was unplugged, so we had to locate the aerial by the wall and plug it back in. Glad we booked last minute and only paid €120 because when we looked a few months before, the price was around €200 and this would have been too expensive for what one gets compared to other local actual hotels, this is an unmanaged AirBnB with a few chocolate stickers on the walls giving it a quirky theme. Did not like the way the taxes were collected, leaving us to put exact cash in a box meant running around town for notes and coins. Charging the booking debit card could have been done. But overall it was money well spent.

Nice large room plenty of space in quiet street. very quiet at night in street....... great idea for decor.

Bathroom fan a little noise takes 15mins to go off. noise neighbours no sound proof for main door to room a sign requires people quiet after 10 especially if have young children. Electrical socket not attached to wall not very Health and and safety.

Good location, unprofessional guesthouse

The room was clean. Location was great, it was right in the center.

There was almost no water pressure in the sink and the shower. The most annoying thing was that someone from housekeeping was waiting in front of door and then started knocking on our door at 10 am, when the checkout time is still 11 am. Never seen anything like this before. It was very disturbing.

Good location and clean rooms - but it's not a hotel

Excellent location, but the street itself is quite quiet. Main square, a lots of restaurants and old city sights within few hundred meters. Clean and big room, and very large bathroom. Small fridge for chilling excellent belgian beer was a big plus.

Their Booking.com page still says they offer continental breakfast, but that is incorrect. I contacted Chocolate Suites about this and they explained that they used to offer breakfast but because of covid they had to quit and switch to more airbnb model. Their page still mentioning breakfast and mnay highly rated reviews mentioning it is misleading. I got no compensation, just a list of places where I could get breakfast. I do understand this, but they advertise themselves as a hotel and the fact that there was no one in there at the reception at any time (fully self service, worked well though) and that there's no breakfast should be made more clear in their advertising. Especially given that they charge hotel level prices.

Very nice hotel with clean and spacious rooms in the city centre.

The location is perfect. Rooms are very spacious and very clean. Within walking two minutes you are in the city centre with all the shops and restaurants. There is also a supermarket next to the hotel.

There is nothing negative to say about the property.

A comfortable chocolate stay in the heart of Bruges

Fantastic location! Just around the corner from the Belfry, lovely bars and restaurants around. Gorgeous quiet street, just where we would want to stay in Bruges.

Was apprehensive about the chocolate theme but it was done so that the room was still very lovely. Didn’t see a member of staff while there but we didn’t need anything so this wasn’t a problem.
