Very pleasant and the staff were super helpful.

I chose a superior room with a king-size bed; it was lovely and spacious and had good facilities. The hotel is in a good central location and easy walking distance to the tram, and depending on your suitcases, about 5 - 10 mins from central station. The TV has many channels on it - I did not check if there was access to Netflix etc but there was string WiFi in the hotel.

The hotel's windows should have double glazing, as it is exttremely noisy at night with cars racing up and down the streets from about 10 pm to 3 am, and hooting and revving their engines at the traffic lights outside the hotel. Somebody had boiled a teabag in the kettle previously and the kettle was damaged, the hotel staff were amazing in replacing the kettle for me.

Our room had a window into a courtyard, which was facing a different building. We didn't have direct sunlight - we didn't mind, as we weren't in the room most of the time. However, this can happen in a city.

Mixed Experience at a Previously Decent Hotel

The hotel is well located in the heart of the city with a walk distance to shops, offices and the central station.

I stayed at this hotel two years ago and had a fair experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit didn’t live up to expectations. Here are the key issues I encountered: Hotel Condition: The property clearly shows signs of ageing. The beds and carpets are worn, and the overall atmosphere lacks the professional feel you'd expect from a business hotel at this price point. Breakfast was also underwhelming and didn’t justify the cost. Room Experience: Given the central location, I expected soundproof windows to block out city noise. I travelled for a two-day workshop and arrived the night before to rest and be fresh for the sessions. However, street noise continued late into the night, and construction work opposite the hotel started early in the morning, making sleep difficult. The bed was awkwardly positioned next to the window and radiator, causing me to bump my head and legs several times during the night. (See photo below.) On top of that, coffee capsules and bottled water weren’t charged during my two-night stay, which felt inconsistent. Breakfast: The paid breakfast offered nothing special. I found better and more affordable options at nearby cafés. Staff Interaction: The staff were friendly, but I had three notable interactions: After the first night, my room access card stopped working. The invoice also showed only one night, despite having booked and paid for two. At reception, I was told the card issue was likely due to it being near my mobile phone (which wasn’t the case). They also insisted the correct invoice could only be issued after checkout—an explanation that didn’t make much sense. Some staff training might help here. On the first morning, while waiting to be checked in for breakfast, the staff member at the desk was engaged in a personal chat with another guest about the weather. It’s great to be friendly, but not at the expense of noticing other guests waiting.

A charming clash of muesli delights and an AC with a mind of its own.

The brekfast menu will entertain you with variety of add-ons to your morning muesli. The facility has 24/7 self-checkout snack/bar. McDonalds accross the street, As expected from NH - the staff is on-level during check-in.

Great location, basic rooms and due to conference extremely expensive!

Excessively expensive due to Global Hydrogen Summit, this shouldn't impact on hotel rates, and I had to pay £380.00 for the night with no breakfast, twin room, small but bed was comfortable.

Room was dark, very dated, poorly designed, not particularly clean. Towels tired and washed out. Curtain hanging off rail. View out to very grubby fire escape. Breakfast was very average - scrambled eggs too dry and sausages rock hard.

The location was ideal and in the centre where it’s accessible to all the bars pubs and clubs aswell restaurants

One of the room the shower wasn’t working but the other rooms were fine. Our friends didn’t want to say anything but it was not a big issue

No soundproofing, very loud street noise.

Beautiful art deco hotel placed in a great location in the middle of the shopping district. However, the hotel is very old and lacks the basic things like sound proofing. We were not only placed into the incorrect room, but we were then put in a room on the first floor and it felt like I was sleeping on the street. There was NO sound insulation whatsoever and none of us got a wink of sleep. Awful experience and won’t stay there again.

A lovely few days

Friendly staff, comfy room. My daughter told everyone she saw she was staying in hotel. They contacted me in advance to check that we wanted a bed and not a cot for my daughter. We were very close to the metro which allowed us to travel to a lot of places with a toddler.

If you want me to find negatives. The shower was starting to show how much it was used by a little mildew. The cost of breakfast was also quite expensive. However I was very happy with my experience and I wouldn't have brought this up if the form didn't insist I say this.

Filty rooms, when traveling with kids and taking connecting rooms they gave us rooms with windows towards town and i swear its like sleeping ouside, with no windows at all. There is absolutely no noise cancellation at all, no isolation from street whatsoever. Sink not draining, bath plug not holding water, in bsthroom 1 spot light working out of 3 (room 632). Same room - only half blackput curtains. Filty dusty nasty courtains and chairs…no electricity sockets around bed for baby monitors, chargers etc…noise is awfull from both ouside and from the hallway where you here the doors of other rooms shutting in your ear..

The locations was 100% great!

The building is great HOWEVER the whole interior design aside from the amazing ceiling lamps and bannisters on the stairs is in terrible condition and out of date. MUST make a GOOD freshening of carpets and doors and floors and upholstery. The seating areas outside the lifts were really horribly old and everything looked worn out. A great shame.

The Hotel is a corner building located in a street intersection with a burger fast food chain directly opposite the street. We had a bedroom on the top most floor which was quite large and therefore had ample space for movement. Breakfast was also good with croissants / various pastries and juices to choose from.

Hotel corridors evidently needs an interior upgrade. One can immediately notice that the hotel was already a bit old.

Not enough clean, very noisy, old, great location

Location, just around the corner from Beurs metro station

the bathtub was clogged. After taking a shower the water would not go away. even after cleaning my room they left me the dirty bathtub. The sheets on the bed were not for the size of the bed so they put two sets, one on top of the other, very uncomfortable. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before.
