Ewes Water Log Cabins

Lovely big private garden and outdoor seating area with BBQ provided and a nice little wooden bench with wildlife carved into it. Close to village with lots of nice areas for dog walks. Large, spaceous rooms. Cozy atmosphere. Board games provided & tv in each room. Lovely bathroom with shampoo & conditioner provided, large bath & rainfall shower, Clean towels provided. Cleaning stuff provided - vaccum, mop, etc. Plenty lighting, whether using the main lights or lamps for at night. Plenty plug sockets throughout the cabin.

The dining table was lovely but the chairs felt very sticky so when you try to stand up your clothes/skin stuck to them. Automatic hallway light was a little annoying as it would constantly turn on and off as you couldn't close the living room door properly. Was in summer so cabin was very warm even with windows open and heating off - possibly provide some fans or fit ceiling fans. Was very peaceful apart from it being next to a road which is a busy lorry route.

Great log cabin, nicely furnished and everything you would need. Lovely spot next to the river. Nice to sit on the patio in the evening listening to the water.

Proximity to the A7,a busy road at certain times of the day, so could be noisy.

Loved the vibe of proper log cabins. Very clean. Good communication with hosts Enjoyed visiting (1) Samye Ling monastery (2) Gilnockie Tower and (3) Hermitage Tower

Dishwasher not working, but I'm sure they'll fix it soon

It’s was large, roomy & have a log burner.

The noise! I read the reviews before booking and thought it can’t be that bad but unfortunately I have to say it is very noticeable and does wake you up. I live next to train tracks so usually don’t notice outside noises as much but this was very loud. Another small thing that I noticed was cobwebs, a quick dusting on the high ceilings would be good.
