The property itself is comfortable. The wood fireplace was my favourite part! The house was warm and toasty. There’s a clothes airer , hoover, hairdryer and iron which is handy! We asked for a barbecue and that was delivered the next day.
Couldn’t connect our phones to the tv. Also couldn’t access Netflix. It was a bit noisy with passing traffic. One tiny suggestion - some condiments like salt and pepper in the cupboard would have been nice. Also maybe a few washing machine tablets so we could put a wash on and maybe a few extra black bags for the trash bin.

We wanted a break away from everything and this place really did deliver! Although we didn’t go out bar one day, there’s so many things nearby to see and do. The lodge itself is massive! All the kitchen facilities were perfect, the sofas were extremely comfy and just overall the main room was great. The bathroom was great, my partner loved the bath itself! The main bedroom was ap big, bed itself was comfy had a table either side and double plug, we really just couldn’t have asked for anything else, we are definitely planning on staying here again and doing more!
Danielle made everything so easy, the place was so clean and tidy when we arrived. The welcome book had everything you could want and thank you for that as otherwise we’d have never known or seen the Tibetan monastery!
I’ve seen reviews about the traffic but for us, it wasn’t something we noticed. We heard more owls and the sound of the river which was just lovely

It’s was large, roomy & have a log burner.
The noise! I read the reviews before booking and thought it can’t be that bad but unfortunately I have to say it is very noticeable and does wake you up. I live next to train tracks so usually don’t notice outside noises as much but this was very loud.
Another small thing that I noticed was cobwebs, a quick dusting on the high ceilings would be good.
