Sercotel El Balcón de la Bahía Suites

There was no breakfast included but they offered fresh fruits and coffee with a pastry so it was excellent. There are many coffee bars close by so starving will not happen.

This was one of the best hotels regarding location and service I had in many years.

The location was fantastic, perfectly situated between the city centre and the beach, both of which are within easy walking distance. The pool was a lovely place to relax, offering a peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy the sunshine. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, with great attention to detail. From the champagne on arrival to the sweet treat on departure, the little touches made for a very enjoyable experience.

Check in took such a long time which seemed unnecessary for a small boutique hotel . I booked a parking space and was emailed them called to pay for it by credit card over the phone . I had prepaid for my room and the parking space was only a small amount of money , so it seemed a bit too much admin for me . I could have just paid cash for it when I got there .

Location Decor

-The bedding did not fit the size of the bed. We woke up sleeping directly on the mattress. Pillows were not great. -The room was small - One of the night lamps didn’t work -No real views. The room overlooked a cluster of unremarkable residential towers and a construction crane, with only a tiny sliver of ocean visible. -It was noisy due to construction in front of the hotel, and a faulty security door system made a loud beeping sound every time the door closed. -The air conditioning could not be adjusted. It was fixed at 21°C, so the only options were to leave it on or turn it off. The room was either too warm or the cold air blew directly onto your face while sleeping. -The gym had no ventilation (no windows, fan, or air conditioning), and there was no water, towels, or cleaning supplies for the three pieces of equipment. -The common areas were strangely only accessible to club members. -Check-in was unnecessarily slow and took too long. -The hotel made multiple unnecessary phone calls and sent several text messages before and during our stay, which felt intrusive. -Limited and difficult parking
