Nice hotel.
1. No evening meals and poor local recommendations. (Try the restaurant across the road from the train station.)
2. We booked a taxi at 17.00.. We were disturbed at 22.30 to be told no taxi was available but the station was only 5 minutes walk. True if you are young, fit and have no cases.
Not true if you are in your 70s, disabled and have heavy cases. A 30+ minutes walk in reality so no breakfast ( paid for) if you want to catch your train.

The location, onsen, breakfast and staff were all wonderful and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here. Takayama is fabulous!
