Villa Ana Maria - Alicante

Beautiful view from the balcony of the port, city center and Santa Barbara castle. Great place to stay for the whole family. But not good for those who cannot climb stairs. Must walk up stairs within the neighborhood and the house has stairs. But for our family it was worth it! The kitchen was great for cooking. They have a washer/dryer. The bathrooms were good. They even have an umbrella and chairs for the beach. And the host was super friendly, very quick to respond to my questions, and gave great advice.

The location is ideal to feel part of the city but also have an escape as the outside terrace on the roof and cooking space is a wonderful retreat. Sites of the harbor, the castle, sunrises and sunset are a welcome from a busy day of work. This location is so very close to the wonderful market that feels like a farmers market but includes fish, breads, meats, cheeses and so much and very close to a smaller chain express market. Parking is easy. Plenty of room inside the flat. It is a hike to get to the location every day from parking, but the view and exercise are worth it. Kitchen is well appointed. The only issue were the bugs, but still would rent again. The caretaker is amazing and she was so helpful and offered well taken advice.

If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in Alicante, you cannot go wrong with this property. I was required to travel for an extended stay (6 weeks) on a work trip. Because of covid, I wanted a place with a terrace as well as a private entrance. The House: Beautiful on the inside and out. Very nicely decorated, all the kitchen supplies you would need (I even baked), the beds are comfortable, and showers/sinks/washer/dryer all work wonderful. They even have a few beach chairs/umbrellas for you to use. Oh... and the air conditioning! There are 4 units in the home, so you can be comfortable no matter where you are spending the time. I was very glad to have them during August. The bedrooms/bathrooms. You will have everything you need and plenty of space. One bedroom has doors and the other closes with a curtain. I loved the set-up, but if you are looking for 2 private bedrooms, this is more semi-private. The Terrace!!!!! the pictures aren't half as amazing as in real life. The Location -You could not pick a more beautiful location. The views are stunning, the climb up the hill is just a few moments away... small walk.... beach or port: 10 min , metro: 5 min, grocery or city market: 5 or 10 min, train station 15 min, 100s of restaurants and shops within 5-15 min.... amazing. Notes of caution depending on your travel style: If you don't like exercise or you require to have a car near at all times, it will be a difficult location for you. If you book here, you will be staying on the side of a mountain,. This means you will have to walk up the side of the hill or climb the stairs to get home. This also means you carry anything you need up that hill or the stairs. For parking, there are a couple free parking areas and several paid to park garages. They are convenient and easy to find, but again... you will park either up or down the mountain and hike one way or the other. But honestly, I loved every minute, for me it was perfect! Safety: I felt safe the entire time I was here. The neighbors aren't going to invite you over for a drink, but they will say hello and smile. It is a good mixture of locals and part time home owners. It feels more like staying with friends than staying with all the tourists at the hotel. The hosts: lovely! Bjorn the owner and Lollo the manager were extremely kind, helpful and easy to contact. Lollo even took me personally to the local grocery/restaurants/bakeries. All around amazing!

This is quiet a beautiful place to stay. Centrally located, beautiful neighborhood, and the view is incredible. The property is incredible inside and out. We had great communication with the owner prior to staying there, with many helpful tips on how to get there and what to do. The person that takes care of the property was very helpful also, and attended to every need. we had The unfortunate thing is that we were there when Spain shut down the country because of Covid-19, we were forced to leave by both Spain and our country after only 2 days. We have not been able to come to any agreement on a refund for not being able to stay there, even though VRBO is highly encouraging owners to refund money. But I still highly recommend this property and owner, and hope to be able to return for a long stay when it is safe for travel again.
