Wonderful time
Excellent location of the house from the city centre. You can walk to the city centre. The house is very cosy, plenty of space and everything you need for cooking and living. I recommend it for a company, a family or a couple.
Rubbish disposal is not very convenient. You have to sort it afterwards, which is inconvenient

Perfect place for visiting Strasbourg by car
Fantastic location, only 20 min walk to old town with many restaurants and bakeries nearby. The cottage has a lot of privacy as it is accessed through a gate and a courtyard. We didn’t need to worry about the car as it was safely left in the garage, which was great. The place was very clean and spacious for 2 people. The host was really friendly and met us upon arrival.
Maybe some coffee pods and tea bags would be nice as we didn’t bring our own.

Good base to explore Strasbourg although it is a good 25 minute walk to the centre.
Liked the quirky decor and the property was spacious. Lovely bathroom and great shower. Kitchen very well equipped.

Excellent location with a 30 min walk to the town centre of Strasbourg. Lovely quiet residential area with a beautiful fig tree and peaceful courtyard. There's even a great brunch place just 5 minutes walk away.
Everything was as expected, except we weren't lucky with the hot weather. This property doesn't have air conditioning and no window in the living room area to air at night if you're sleeping on the sofa bed. However, everything is as detailed in the description so no surprises.

A great place to stay
This was a great place to stay for a couple of nights exploring Strasbourg on our way to Salzburg. We enjoyed being able to walk from the property, as it's quite central.
We found the bathroom door a bit difficult to undo. But apart from that everything was good.

Excellent home base for short stay in Strasbourg
This is for "gîte "l'Annexe": The layout and furnishings of the apartment were excellent. This was an upgrade from our originally booked 1 bedroom to 2 bedrooms. After getting oriented, the possibilities for getting groceries and going downtown were convenient. I was thankful for the possibility to do laundry - even hang some clothes outside a window.
For an additional reasonable daily fee, a private garage nearby could be rented for a medium-sized car. I would not recommend visiting Strasbourg with a car otherwise - parking seems very difficult.
A simple joy was also watching the birds flit between bushes and vines in the garden behind the house. Spring was making many perennials pop back to life and it was full of color....
For gîte "l'Annexe": The bedrooms were toward the street, so we did not open the curtains, and had construction and occasional truck noise from the area.
Although there was an oven, I did not see e.g. casserole forms to really be able to use it (the metal pots usually had plastic handles). Admittedly, we mostly use the microwave at home - which the apartment did not have. Perhaps one could be mounted on a separate shelf above the bistro table to save table space.
My personal nemesis is having to use a key box to access an apartment or communicate with the host via phone shortly before arrival. The travel is tiring and very stressful and that last component is an additional hurdle. Hosts often reveal the code fairly close to the check-in time (even if I've pre-paid months in advance!), which assumes that the guest has an internet connection while traveling, which assumes a particular cell phone contract and SIM card. This is very challenging to accomplish when traveling internationally or intercontinentally.
This particular key box opened differently than the ones I knew from Germany, so I ended up asking a neighbor for help.... One good thing about it was that that the numbers were much easier to read than the ones I've otherwise seen.

Very comfortable, great walking distance, overall a great city.
Everything was described very well. The location was great to try out some restaurants and bars that aren´t near the touristy parts of the city.
It was a bit smaller than expected. Some of the pictures were misleading as we suspect they encompass two different apartments.

Liked the design and especially the location - quiet neighborhood in very close proximity to the historical part of Strasbourg (literally walking distance)
Hosts are quite demanding. You are requested to carry out tasks that are normally carried out by hosts themselves, like taking down the bed sheets, emptying the trash bin, etc. Be prepared that the WiFi is very poor. I asked what is the reason and I was ignored by the host. Also there was no shampoo or shower gel in the shower and no hand towels were provided by the hosts. These minor improvements could make our stay even more pleasant.

Superb
We stayed with 5 people (2 adults, 3 kids 13-15y) for two nights and the apartment (Kougelhopf) was still big and comfortable enough for us. The furniture is really nice and the location is close enough to walk into the city centre (approx 20 min). Parking might be tricky from time to time but we found one on the street just around the corner. Overall we really enjoyed our stay including the owner’s very nice dog 😊

This is an Airbnb, not a hotel. It was not advertised as an Airbnb. Once booked and fully charged, then a message was sent about having to strip the beds, do the dishes, take the trash out etc.. if I had known this prior, I would not have booked.
Also, this place advertises that it has parking available. It does not. There is street parking, but it is in a rough part of the city and there are no reserved or designated spots for the customers of this Airbnb. There are also no parking garages available that are secure in this area. Therefore, we had to park on the street two blocks away. This was not ideal as we had luggage and items that we needed to walk to the Airbnb. It was not comforting to do so as women alone in the city at night. During the first night, our car was broken into and a window was smashed. There are pictures below. Due to this, we also had to spend two hours at the police station during our visit. This would’ve all been avoided if the hotel had not falsely advertised that they had designated parking available. Again, I would never have stayed here if I had known there wasn’t going to be reserved/designated parking as advertised.
Upon arrival, the instructions for the key code boxes were not clear. The owners were on site, so I’m not sure why we even needed to have a code key box, but when I knocked on their door and asked for assistance, they promptly let us know that nobody else has had any issues in the last five years with this and they were very rude and condescending. If you look at other reviews, you will see in the last year there are people that have had issues with the lock boxes. Once we had the keys, the gate and door were very hard to lock and unlock.
Some minor inconveniences were that even though the room was advertised as having a sofa bed, we still had to contact the owners again to get bedding for it. They should all be available upon arrival. Also, there is no shelving in the shower, so your items have to be on the floor.

Wonderful location, quiet, and perfect place to stay for families
I had a tough time with the keys, but it’s only because I’m not used to these kinds of key locks where I’m from. However, the host was on site and was able to show us how to access the property so it was not a problem.
The property was the perfect location. It was very close to the Strasbourg city center and we were able to easily walk there. The upper deck was very nice—a great place to eat our dinner overlooking the quaint street.
The beds were comfortable. And the kitchen had all the amenities we needed.
Overall, it was an excellent stay.
By the grace of God we found a parking space, but parking was not easy. The streets are full of cars that do not move locations. So, we were afraid to leave our space when we finally found one. And we didn’t leave that space during our stay. It’s important to know this if you’re bringing a car.
Also—the bathroom is downstairs while the beds are upstairs. So, that is a little inconvenient, but not inconvenient enough not to stay here again.
We loved the location, the cleanliness of the place, the responsiveness of the hosts, and our overall experience. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Unquestionably a tastefully appointed apartment within walking distance of the center of Strasbourg. Very secure property behind a steel locked gate. Soundproofing was excellent. A/C was appreciated at the time of year visited.
Hosts were a little too "particular" regarding the policies of the property - should have put these in the policies upfront on Booking.Com. Hosts live on site, so felt as in a "fishbowl" and did not appreciate the host coming into the apartment to turn the electricity off when we were out - a reminder text would have sufficed.
"Parking in the street" is essentially a fallacy. Finding a car park within a 500m radius of the apartment was a real headache - particularly when the property has an empty driveway that could take two vehicles easily and would have happily paid a bit more for the privilege.

Cool place to stay to visit the city
Modern apartment in a walking distance to old town Strasbourg. All the amenities you need are nearby. Apt has fully equipped kitchen and every other thing you may need. Sheila the dog is a bonus
Parking is difficult so please plan to park further away. Do not worry - You can unload with no problem in front of the house.

Weird extra fees and requirement of cleaning
We are required to throw all the garbages before leaving, and paid 20 Euros for one-hour ‘s late leaving. It is fine living here, but the landlady was not nice to us.

bad experience never had before
My friend and I got up late, one hour late for leaving. And we required to pay more 20 Euros, it is okay. But we cleaned everything before, and they required us to throw all the garbage. The reason is because we were late, we disturb their lunchtime and working time. Every thing happen in 1 hour!!!! Okay. We paid it, but it is the worst experience we had in Strasbourg! No apartment requires clients to clean everything here! We didn’t know that before coming here! :(((((

There is actually no parking space or it is very hard to find it on the street nearby. I would not recommend leaving the car on the street - use P+R parking Krimmeri (10 minute walk).

Un séjour agréable dans un gîte idéalement situé
J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans ce gîte. Tout était parfait : une propreté irréprochable, une hospitalité chaleureuse et un emplacement idéal à deux pas du centre-ville. Je recommande vivement cette adresse et j’espère avoir l’occasion d’y revenir !
En revanche, compte tenu de la qualité de l’accueil, je m’attendais à trouver quelques capsules de café ou sachets de thé, surtout pour un séjour de deux nuits. Cela aurait été un petit plus apprécié.

Wir hatten ein tolles Wochenende in Straßburg und haben uns gerne in der Unterkunft aufgehalten.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll und ruhig. Im Stadtteil gibt es gute Bistrots/ Kneipen und das Zentrum ist gut zu Fuß oder per Tram erreichbar.
Nur die Tür im Badezimmer :)
