Hotel is centrally located, and comfortable but not luxurious. The price is competitive and reasonable. The breakfast is wholesome and ample comprising standard German meat, bread and cheese.
There was lack of clarity over whether breakfast had been booked and paid for in advance which made for a slightly awkward checking in.
Instruction for joining out of hours (and note that for the period of midday to 2pm reception is shut) are in a notice pasted on the front door in German so a functional knowledge of the language is helpful!

Very convenient location especially for visiting downtown Ludwigsburg or going to the Blühendes Barock. I really appreciated the kind and helpful staff. It was quiet despite being in the city center and the room had everything we needed and although we didn't have breakfast, it looked nice.
It's not barrier free. If you are in a wheelchair or depend on a stroller, this maybe isn't the best place to stay.

The location in Ludwigsburg is super central. The rate per night is reasonable. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom to share was clean and the staff checked every day for toiletries and other cleaning products.
The reception is open until 10 pm, which generally speaking fine, given that the host does cater for after hours check-in. It is unfortunate, if you don't get the instructions how to check-in or where to pick up the room keys/access card. It doesn't help to say that an email with instructions has been sent out via the booking.com portal, if one as the guest didn't receive such an email due to some technical issues on the booking.com portal. It is no-go to leave it to the guest to handle the complaint with booking.com. In addition, our room's only window was facing the backyard where a casino was based. The guests there did party until 4/5 am. We had warm days. Closing the window keep the noise level at bay , but left you with a too warm room. In such a situation if would have been great to have an aircon .
