Very good place to stay

This is a very nice little cottage. Well decorated and clean. owners thought about all the details and placed little notes around to guide you. Located in the city center, just next to the high street and just 10 minutes to the Pier. Many good restaurants around.

Not much to tell as we really liked the place. 2 notes for the future visitors: Although property provides a parking permit, parking is not always available on the street. However, it is not a major problem. There is a parking place 100 meters from the cottage. Also heating in the kitchen is weak and not helpful for the colder days.

Great location! Nice cottage, but wouldn't recommend to families with elderly or small children

Great location! Overall nice cottage (except for the points below).

I wouldn't recommend this property to families who travel with elderly and/or active small children (we had both) as the stairs were challenging (potentially unsafe) for them. The carpet needed a good professional clean. Some plates in the kitchen cupboard were not clean and others haven't been dried after taken out of the dish washer.

Lovely cottage

This is a lovely cottage, with character. The location is great - just a 5 minute stroll to the ferry piers and yet it is in a quiet setting near the end of cul de sac. Beds are comfy. The furniture and fittings are all good quality and in excellent condition. We had a lovely week at Raglan COTTAGE! PS A big thank you to the changeover team - everything very clean and tidy 👍

Fallen in love with the Lake District ❤️

Raglan Cottage was in the perfect location in Bowness, just off the main street with a bus stop right at the end of the road. For such a central location it was very quiet too. The cottage is cosy, clean, and well equipped, and the beds were super comfy! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

No amenities and they were very inflexible when I asked them to put the 2 single beds as 1. Personnel where not responding messages. Difficult to park.

Exceptional

It was lovely - extremely clean, warm, had everything we needed for the stay (good shower, dishwasher/washer/freezer space, cooking items etc) and a great location. We did not have a car and the bus service from the end of the road is great, very easy to get to Ambleside and Grasmere. Walking distance to Windermere village and Bowness. They called us to check everything was okay on arrival which we appreciated. We hope to return to Raglan Cottage in the future :-)

location is a deal for Bowness. lots of room in the property.

there were no tea or coffee facilities or shower gel.. no products which is a first for a house let I’ve stayed in. would have been nice to receive a little welcome pack.

Great house and location. Shame can’t get in earlier

Easy to find the property and get the keys. House is great. Very comfortable beds and parking in the street or nearby fairly easy.

4pm check in is quite late. Shame you can’t get in a bit earlier, between 2pm and 3pm is pretty standard.

Family friendly

Very nice, family friendly cottage. It was clean and has everyything what you need. Also the location is amazing, it is literally 10 minutes walk distance from the lake. We will definitely come back one day.

Home from home( now want to relocate)

Lovely place, lovely property very homely and situated really close to everything. Very modern Lots of places to eat Inc: Italian, cafés burger places etc. A few shops around to keep you interested. There was a cheap pub at the top of the hill, bit of a Trek but you can burn off all the alcohol. We got the open topped bus to all around the small villages ( cold but good). Kendall was cheap on the train.

Parking was a bit of a pain. We arrived on Saturday and had to pay for parking, but come Monday there were spaces outside property ( this is not the owners fault as you have limited parking any way.... permit was provided). My advice would be to maybe park for a couple of days at car park then move car to property. That's the only fault and we weren't originally intending to travel by car but it was my birthday and the wife Brought all my presents

Immaculate little cottage.

Bowness wouldn’t be our first choice of location - too touristy - but it did give us plenty of choice of places to eat within walking distance. Cottage was immaculate, cosy, homely, bed very comfortable

Bath water wasn’t hot enough - shower was good. Parking tricky one evening.

Location, fireplace, overall quality

No Christmas decorations, lack of personal touches, no firewood - we had to buy our own, which was disappointing, as the fireplace was a key reason for booking the accommodation.
