Beautiful, relaxing, remote, easy swimming access, ma & pa feel

Adorable location and stay with a local ma and pa feel. Loved our large balcony with a beautiful sea view. Loved easy access to the beach. Loved the yummy food at the restaurant downstairs. Truly a relaxing quiet area. 20-30 minute walk into town, kinda hard to get to. But we actually liked this! Good exercise and a beautiful walk along the sea. You can get a taxi but it’s at least €30+ one way. Appreciated the small kitchen to make breakfast.

Dogs barked at night, shower was very small and no shower head, handheld only. Wish there were more coffee supplies (filters, coffee grounds, etc.)

Amazing place

Everything about this place is wonderful. A place of tranquility and calm. Beautiful apartment and lovely bar/restaurant downstairs. The view from the balcony is one of best in Hvar. Marija the host is so kind. She dry cleaned our clothes for us after we arrived after travelling from Dubrovnik. Her husband is the new (and from speaking to the locals very popular mayor of Hvar!). Thanks to her son also who assisted us with getting a taxi to make or ferry on our departure day when no one would come and get us! We promised ourselves we would come back

The property’s location is fantastic and Marija is the best host. She is very accommodating. The apartment is above Mustaco which is great for an afternoon bite and spending the day on the beach !

Lovely location right on the beach. The host was lovely and very accommodating.

A bit outdated but had everything we needed and was a good price for Hvar. Slightly out of town and a pebble hill to walk to town but very manageable.

Clean apartments right on the Beach, a bit far away from town

We were allowed to check in earlier and the room was spotlessly clean, our towels where changed every other day. The view from our balcony was the turquise sea of Pokonji dol, the best Beach in Hvar in my opinion (better than Dubovica). We could park our motorbike at the facility. There was a very nice donkey in the yard!

The location didnt really suite us. We absolutely had to rent a motorbike (which is too expensive in Hvar), because the Town was half an hour away. There were no supermarkets around and the restaurant downstairs doesnt serve breakfast, in fact the kitchen doesnt start operating till noon. In the afternoon there is no shelter from the sun.

Will be coming back

The location was perfect. It was a 25/30minute walk into Hvar which was fine, you can get a taxi which takes 10minutes however the walk is absolutely fine if you follow the costal road. You can also hike up through the mountains however it is quite steep and rocky. The property is right on the beach of Pokonji dol which is beautiful. The air conditioning in the room works perfectly and has everything you need. No complaints.

Very clean, calm

The host was very nice. They changed the bedding (we stayed there for nine nights), apartment was very clean, little bit away from Hvar, but it was nice to walk to the city in the evening (not too far). It was very calm at night, so you could listen to the waves, no traffic. I recommend.

FABULOUS

We stayed at the Mustaco Beach apartments in Hvar for 4 nights and couldn't recommend a better place to stay. The apartment has everything you need and the location is unbeatable. It is above a family owned sea side DELICIOUS Mustaco restaurant and bar at Pokonji Dol beach. The host (Marija) and all staff are so warm and welcoming. This place is INCREDIBLE.

Amazing place to stay - 20 minute walk to Hvar but with its own little private beach. We loved it.

The location is amaaaaazzzzzing. Right on the beach - we fell asleep every night to the sound of waves lapping. Water right in front of the apartment was crystal clear and clean, and two restaurants which did both fantastic salads and good cocktails!

Slightly dated, but if it had of been modernised then likely would have been out of our price range - so perfectly fine for us.

Apartment was very well equipped, spotless clean and nice and quiet at night, you’ll fall asleep by the sounds of the waves..just amazing!

Amazing views, friendly staff

Loved the beach, away from the main town (25 min walk or 100 kuna by cab). Our apartment had amazing views of the beach and a forested hill. Great place for walking to nearby beaches. The restaurant and bar below, Orestes by the owners, has delicious food and very good drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had the essential utensils for cooking light meals but we only used it for warming up things. We came back one day to find homemade apple cake, made by Maria, which was a deliciously tasting surprise! Her kindness extended beyond our stay as she shipped something I forgot. Thank you Mustaco for an amazing stay in Pokonji Dol (Hvar).

La posizione con vista meravigliosa sulla baia, i colori incredibili del mare, l'accoglienza e la gentilezza dell' host, la signora Marija, la pulizia e la cura del dettaglio, la pace e la tranquillità soprattutto alla sera e alla mattina, quando la baia non è ancora popolata. Sentirsi i padroni del luogo in un'atmosfera esclusiva.

El paraíso accesible

Fuimos en Junio 2025. El departamento es amplio, luminoso, limpio y estético. Cuenta con todo lo necesario para cocinarse ahí si así lo quisieran. Es la playa más alejada de la isla, por lo cual de noche me pareció súper tranquilo. La playa, si bien es de rocas con unas zapatillitas (6e en decathlon) se disfruta bárbaro, y no es un dato menor que es la más linda de la isla (dicho por locales). No comí en el parador pero las camas y sombrillas fueron muy cómodas, incluso podes subir a hacer una siesta y volver. El camino para ir al centro se puede hacer de dos maneras, subiendo una colina con rocas, que es una mini travesía con lindas vistas y cero complicada si tenes un poco de estado físico, y sino por la costera, más largo pero también muy hermosa la vista al mar. La dueña fue lo mejor de la estadía, súper atenta y generosa!

Las camas son individuales y unidas, pero eso me pasó en toda Croacia. De todas formas el descanso fue bárbaro

Wunderschöne Lage und erholsam.

Apartment sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber - alle zwei Tage wird geputzt / Handtücher gewechselt. Besitzerin sehr aufmerksam. Der Strand beim Apartment ist tagsüber (ab 11 h) sehr voll, jedoch auf wunderschönem Küstenweg zu Fuß mehrere ruhige Buchten zu erreichen. Gehzeit 20 Minuten (Robinson Bucht) bis 1 1/2 Stunden (Buchten bei Milna). Restaurant / Bar im Haus am Strand schließt spätestens 20 Uhr, nachts ist es ruhig. Wer Party möchte, ist hier nicht am richtigen Ort.

Einkaufsmöglichkeit erst im Ort Hvar, zu Fuß ca. 20-30 Minuten, mit Auto 5 Minuten. Darauf muss man sich einstellen und den Einkauf vorher erledigen, dann stört es nicht. Ebenso Restaurants für das Abendessen. Wenn man tagsüber ankommt, sind zumeist alle Parkplätze beim Apartment besetzt. Notfalls auf großem Parkplatz 5 Minuten entfernt parken und am Abend wechseln.

Excellent lieu de séjour à Hvar

Appartement confortable et spacieux, avec balcon donnant sur la baie. Accès direct à la plage. Bon équipement permettant de se faire à manger. Sentier du sentier permettant de rejoindre des petites plages de rêve, isolée et paisibles. Centre ville accessible par un sentier en 20 mn.

Difficile à trouver. Il faut indiquer la plage sur le gps.

Dankeschön das wir bei Euch verweilen und entspannen durften !

Nach 2h Fährfahrt mit der Autofähre aus Split und anschließender halbstündiger Autofahrt aus Stari Grad erreichten wird die Apartments by the sea in Hvar. Direkt gelegen am gut besuchten Pokonji dol Beach (vor 10 Uhr und ab 20 Uhr für uns Privatbucht) sowie der Kenoba Mustaco die sich unterhalb befindet (angenehme Möglichkeit dort unter Palmen zu essen, trinken und verweilen zu den üblichen Inselpreisen mit sehr guter Qualität, Freundlichkeit +Service). Ein Privatparkplatz befand sich direkt an der Unterkunft (spezielle Anfahrt für Kroatien typisch). Wir wurden von Maria herzlich empfangen, das Apartment war Top ausgestattet mit neuem Inventar (Küche, Bett, Klima usw.)+ allem was man benötigt (W-Lan etwas schwach), Meerblick und großem Balkon inklusive. Trotz des Strandbetriebes ruhig auch am Tag. Einschlafen und aufwachen mit Meeresrauschen garantiert. Die wunderschöne Stadt Hvar erreicht man in 10min. Autofahrt und lädt zur Besichtigung ein (geniale Altstadt + Umgebung zu dieser Zeit noch nicht überrannt). Vom Apartment aus führt auch ein Wanderweg der Coastel Trail zum erkunden der nächsten Buchten, Strände und Orte.

Tolle Aussicht, gut eingerichtet, bequemes Bett ohne Spalte, und ganz besonders die Gastfreundschaft. Schön ruhig und super zum entspannen.
