Mantilaria

A beautiful traditional home which sits in the town of Fira but away from the central hustle and hustle. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners were delightful. They ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We were surprised with daily treats of cake and mini pies all of which were homemade and delicious. The communal courtyard was lovely to sit and enjoy a coffee whilst the local neighbours went about their daily chores.

Everything was perfect

This guesthouse is very close to the station, local attractions, and hiking trails. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly. One morning, she unexpectedly brought us a few slices of pound cake, which was such a lovely surprise. There was also jam and butter in the refrigerator. The guesthouse was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of pots and cooking utensils. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a peaceful vacation. Before we left, the owner even gave us a bag of gifts, which made our stay feel especially warm and memorable!

The bathroom was quite small, and we did see a few tiny cockroaches. The hair dryer was also quite small, so it was a little difficult to dry our hair.

Got some basic breakfast with fresh bread and little jams in the fridge. Seems like a proper local-family-run bussiness.

Bad smell in the kitchen cabinet and very limited space and equipemnt hardly invite you to cook so the kitchenette only good for making coffee/tea to go with the breakfast, but has no tea mugs. Long hair of previous visitors on the floor. The pictures are not up to date and certainly look better than reality. 55 m2 clearly include the yard.
