Mango House Japanese Guest House

The Mango Tree Japanase guesthouse is an exceptional accomodation in Negombo. Chosen mostly for it's location close to the aiport, it's a property of outstanding beauty that has been maintained with exceptional care. The owner, Kenath is very sweet and will accomodate all your requests, from airport transfers to delicious Sri Lankan dinner (also pizzas for those of you that had enough rice and curry). The property even has a swimming pool you can use! I enjoyed strolling around the property and watching all the animals during my stay. Despite being close to a busy area, you will only hear silence. I'd come back here without hesitation, and I can only recommend this place to everyone else!

Had a really wonderful ending to my trip at Japanese Mango House. I felt immediately welcome due to the warm welcome by the owner. He is a very hospitable and kind person who truly goes above and beyond for his guests. And he is very nice to talk with! The garden is a real oasis of peace, filled with greenery and birds. If I hadn't wanted to do some grocery shopping, I wouldn't even have left the place. The Sri Lankan dinner is delicious, truly with its own authentic twist! The cottage where I stayed was also so very beautiful, very serene, and I slept really well; the beds are comfortable and the temperature stays very stable. And .. no mosquitoes 😀 hope to return someday 🙏🏽

The only concern I had was that I didn't want to make the place messy. It was so tidy and clean 🙏🏽🪷

This is a comfortable, calm oasis in Negombo. We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. The owner was extremely helpful and kind - as this was our last night in Sri Lanka and we had a few specific requests for places to go and he organised tuk tuks to take us. Great breakfast too.
