A perfect country escape

Roberto & his wife are both lovely friendly people. The location of their property was perfect for us as we had friends staying nearby at Yelloh Village les Mouettes, only a 20 min walk away. The breakfast every morning was presented beautifully, everything was homemade. Boiled egg, muesli, Greek style yogurt, bread, selection of 4 jams, bowl of fresh fruit and a tasty treat. When I say everything was homemade I should clarify even the hens that laid the eggs lived in the garden. They prepared a lovely evening meal, a birthday celebration for our friends. We ate in the garden and had a truly memorable experience.

The ensuite was part of the bedroom & the shower was visable from the bed, so might not suit a couple in the early stages of their relationship.

It was a beautiful, charming property , which was very relaxing and a great location , the hosts were very obliging and helpful. We would definelty recommend to friends and stay there again.

The room was an unusual layout , but maybe not suitable for friends with the en suite and no lock on the door and extractor fan .

Charming and most helpful hosts. Buildings and accommodation were interesting and arty….good facilities including a great bar. First rate breakfast served early to facilitate our departure. All in all a great stay.

Farm house with nice interior design and great garden close to the bay

Old farm house in a quiet rural location. The garden is spectacular and offers nice vistas to the sea bay. The room was very beautifully designed. Can only recommend.

Minor issue: the room could benefit from some practical things, like coathangers. This is a French B&B and so by regulation pushed by the hotel industry hosts are prohibited from offering buffets with separate tables. The space is there in this particular B&B, but it cannot be lawfully used. A really stupid law.

Lovely welcome from Roberto and Rachel. Mixture of nationalities staying and sharing the breakfast and dinner table. Roberto's knowledge of languages and Rachel's lovely, local food. Beautiful location with spacious rooms.

Dominic was very welcoming and got us a first rate breakfast at 6:15 as we needed to leave early for the boat. Clearly have worked hard to make this a special unique place to stay and only wish we had more time to enjoy it.

A lovely welcome, thank you. A very helpful friendly host. A Bed and Breakfast with a difference, definitely a quirky place. A comfortable bed with nice clean room. The place is not as mad as you think. Considering the Covid situation, it was nice to sit outside in the back garden and view the estuary "glugging" a very nice bottle of red.

The front garden looked a little scruff, which made you wonder had you made a good choice of places to stay. Maybe a few more choices of snacks, which could be a little more generous. I wonder what you would eat if you stayed longer.

Fantastic, and wish we could have stayed longer!

Absolutely outstanding hospitality from Roberto and his wife. They couldn't have been more accomodating of our late check-in time and very early check-out (to get the ferry from nearby Roscoff Port, only 15 mins away). They kindly served breakfast early at 7am (on a Sunday), which was fantastic and all totally home made, comprising of yoghurt, granola, jams, bread and cheese, delicious pastries, and watermelon! The bar was also lovely, and you could sit out with drinks or a picnic in the deckchairs in the garden and look down at the sea. The whole house really has the wow factor, with a gorgeous garden, secure parking, and memorable decoration. Would absolutely recommend and wish we could have stayed longer.

The only negative was that the bathroom in the room was only seperated by a curtain, which could make for a slightly awkward situation!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Le petit déjeuner, comme le dîner pris sur place étaient très bons, notre hôte est une fine cuisinière, elle cuisine les produits de leur jardin, où des producteurs environnants. La maison est agréablement décorée, avec des objets chinés puis rénovés, détournés de leur fonction première. C'est un cocon chaleureux, où il fait bon passer du temps.

Hartelijke ontvangst. Lekker ontbijt met verse zelfgemaakte producten (confituren, granola…) vers fruit. Ruime frisse slaapkamer, dito badkamer waarin alle comfort aanwezig. Mooi uitzicht op de baai. Men ziet liefde en moeite door de eigenaars.

Kouzelné

Fantastická zahrada se zákoutími. Celé místo mělo kouzlo a atmosféru francouzského venkova. Prostě to nemělo chybu. Krásný design v pokojích promyšlený do detailu. Snídaně ve venkovském stylu, velmi chutné, každý den něco trošku jiného - suprové stolování (úžasná dekorace nad stolem). Milí hostitelé. Asi jen 3 nebo 4 pokoje, takže jde o úzkou skupinku hostů ráno u snídaně (což nemusí sedět každému). Komunikace v angličtině bez problémů. Dobrá poloha.

Zajímavě řešený sprchový kout a umyvadlo. Z designérského hlediska boží, ale máte méně soukromí při sprchování.

Séjour en couple

Très bien accueillis et conseillés tout au long du séjour par Roberto et Rachel, nous avons passé un séjour très reposant grâce au calme des lieux, et nous avons pu randonner depuis la maison. Les petits déjeuners sont au top à base de produits maison en plus d'être copieux, tellement rare de nos jours. Parfait pour faire une coupure à la campagne!

5 Sterne für das MAD – ein echtes Juwel! Unser Aufenthalt im MAD war rundum gelungen. Das Hotel verzaubert mit liebevoller Einrichtung und kleinen Besonderheiten in jeder Ecke – man merkt, wie viel Herzblut hineingeflossen ist. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück: Von knusprigem Baguette über hausgemachte Marmelade bis hin zu frischen Crêpes und Obst war alles da – und alles unglaublich lecker. Uns hat es wirklich an nichts gefehlt! Wir können das MAD uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen. 💛
