Beautiful location and co beautifully run hotel where if you’re lucky you can see whales while having breakfast! A very tasty one too, with lots of choices.

Great place to relax and have the best sunset views possible!

Service was great. All staff is very kind and friendly. The hotel is very clean and room facilities, in general are fantastic. The location, next to the beach (with the stairs!!!!) is great.

Almost everything was impecable. A couple of things they have to work on: 1. The villas next to the entrance need to isolate the windows for noise. The trash truck gets there at 4am and remains on, making noise for several minutes a couple of meters away from the bed. 2. INTERNET!!!: the cellular signal is terrible across the city and in the hotel. And the internet is nonexistent in many of the public areas of the hotel. These are 2 really important things they have to improve!

dissapointing - Most of the staff spoke only Spanish. Manager was great

We loved our stay so much, we booked another trip for July 2025 and added an extra night for next time!

The property is really beautiful. The way the rooms are laid out provides a lot of privacy. We stayed in the king suite with a terrace and ocean view. It was amazing. Oh also loved that they had a great restaurant on site.

We didn't want to leave.

Every aspect of Villas Carrizalillo WOWED us. The friendliness of staff and their helpful awesome recommendations, the detail of cleanliness everywhere, the lovely breeze keeping us cool and refreshed, the second to none views, the scrumptious restaurant food, the easy walks here and there, the lovely quiet and positive vibe of the other guests, the ease to and from the airport, the sense of being looked after and left alone created a wonderful balance. We really loved our stay -- a favorite, to date, of all the places we've stayed over the years. We'll be back, next time bringing friends to share the beauty of this gem of a place. We also appreciated the option of swimming in the very clean accessible pool.

Restaurant is ok but pricey. It would’ve been great if the hotel had a dedicated area on the beach. Toilet flush is a bit weak.

The view from the villas facing the ocean is exceptional and it is truly a beautiful beach. I will certainly be returning (hopefully to the same exact room). The on-site restaurant is also great and looks over the ocean (makes for beautiful sunsets).

The wifi is temperamental and you may find yourself without it often/ so slow that using roaming on your phone is the only option.

The location is so beautiful and our rooms were very clean and lovely.

We had quite a few mosquitoes. not unusual for Puerto Escondido though.
