Hostel & Tatami Bar Uchikobare -内子晴れ-

The guesthouse staffs are very friendly and had interactions with me even I'm a non-Japanese speaking foreigner. The house is traditional Japanese wooden made. The inside is renovated to modern style. Toilets and shower rooms are super clean and comfort definitely to lady's standard.

It's not a problem of the house and service itself. But I have to mind the ceiling wood pieces as I hit my head a few times painfully. It's part of the traditional Japanese house design.

Incredibly nice staff, great location and beautiful building

It was a bit dusty in some hard-to-get-to-places. I am allergic to dust but I had allergy pills so it wasn’t really a big problem.

The site was clean and comfortable. It offered sleeping privacy and an enjoyable community area to dine and converse with others. The kitchen area was well stocked. The refreshing welcome beverage was much appreciated, too. Lovely host as well, very kind & helpful.

Beautiful old building , well located in old town with a store showcasing local artists Staff were really lovely and prepared an interesting dinner for us.

While I hate to say this , it wasn’t a great sleeping experience due to the fact that rooms are essentially cubicles so sound travelled and made for a disturbed night ie: next doors snoring , and the parade of people going to the shared toilet facilities throughout the night . Showers are on a lower floor to bedrooms with access through the kitchen. We were a couple in a double but the other rooms were groups in dorms .
