#001 Stylish Downtown Flat Walk to Beach & Bars

Good location, tea and coffee welcome pack, sofa bed was already made up. Good staff communication.

Unfortunately the bed was broken, the slats had come away. However, staff responded well and it was promptly fixed.

La ubicación fue muy buena y el lugar era amplio. Cuando tuvimos dudas, el anfitrión estuvo muy atento y solucionó todo a la brevedad. En general, la estancia fue agradable.

Me pareció que faltaron muchas cosas para hacer la estancia amena. No tenían absolutamente nada en la cocina, ni café, ni azúcar, ni sal, ni agua. En todos los lugares en los que he estado siempre hay lo básico. Igual en el baño y la ducha el gel de baño estaba casi vacio y eramos 4.

Lokalizacja, powierzchnia apartamentu, chłodno dzięki zewnętrznym roletom, prywatny parking (brak problemu z zaparkowaniem), blisko na drogę wylotowa do pobliskich miejscowości.

Wieczorami dość głośno przy otwartych oknach ale do wytrzymania (odgłosy dochodzące z pobliskich barów). Przyszedł czas na wymiany patelni 😉 Nie działający pilot do garażu

* Very, very short walking distance from the main shopping/ restaurant strip of Albufeira as well as the beach. There is also a Lidl very close by in the opposite direction. * Fair array of rooms - all very clean. * Decent kitchen as well as a nice enough bathroom, with the narrow balcony outside useful for drying washed clothes * On the whole, I would recommend staying here, but only if you're aware of the drawbacks I detail below.

* Parking is difficult - the advertised "space" is miniscule and not really viable. It's requires a nightmarishly tight manoeuvre which closed in by concrete walls and pillars (see photo) it's simply not worth risking damaging a hire car. We opted to park on the one-way street outside, where parking is free of charge, but often full. * The whole vibe of the accommodation is pretty austere, even unfriendly. There are very stern warning posters on the wall that kind of made you afraid to relax and it was very stingy in terms of supplies - there was a little box which had maybe a couple of teabags and sachets in it, only a roll and a quarter of toilet paper in the bathroom, that sort of thing (see photos). * Communication was mostly automated and impersonal, I only received one personable-sounding message when someone human answered a specific query I made when I was checking out . * I felt the check-in process asking for a further deposit (I wasn't clear about what it was for) went against the spirit of what I saw on the Booking.com website which said all things like city tax and so on were included when I paid in advance - we were on the last leg of a road tour of the whole of Portugal where we'd paid everything in advance everywhere else we stayed and all other hosts had made us feel fully welcome, comfortable and relaxed during our stay. I didn't trust the hosts here and this distrust was exacerbated by the impersonal communication and the sort of stern environment of threats and warnings coming off the posters - I hope the company have a rethink about those!
