Picnic basket "French breakfast" was lovely! The kids loved the farm-friendly environment, running around the property and exploring the nearby premises.

A quasi-luxury "farm stay" in the heart of the Loire.

Pretty close to the heart of castle country and just 10k from Chateau Chambord. They helped us rent bikes and the amenities for children are superlative: goats, chickens, trampoline, swimming pool, football, swings. You can purchase fresh eggs right there and the kitchen is hyper-equipped. You could roll off an airplane, rent a car, pass by a supermarket and you'd never have a worry at the house in order to cook anything you would like. I'd like to return with a couple other families.

The only thing that bugged me were the linen and cleaning charges. We stayed four nights and it was 20 euros for sheets/towels and then upon check out another 50 for cleaning. That's a bit exorbitant given the size of the place. I don't mind paying some extra but that could certainly be improved upon.
