Excellent location in a gorgeous home with lots of charming character. Recommend.

Franco met us and showed us round his gorgeous apartment. He offered such a lovely complimentary breakfast and his home is perfect in the centre of town for the Via Francigena. We can’t thank Franco enough for his kindness and communication and will remember our stay with fondness. Definitely recommend.

Perfect spot in Gambassi

Our stay at Casa Giulia was an 11/10! We were so comfortable and at home in the space and our host went above and beyond at every turn to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The apartment was full of unique art and homey touches, perfectly located right on the Via Francigena, and in a beautiful historic building. We would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone walking the Francigena or visiting Gambassi Terme. Thank you so much, for the chance to stay here!

Lovely large old apartment with friendly host

The bed and linen were really good The host is super friendly and waited patiently for our arrival by bike He arranged bike storage nearby The space is very large

The house is dark and the bathroom tiny The “breakfast” is very poor … we went out to a local cafe instead. Prepackaged long life bread and biscuits and little cartons of supermarket jam. No fruit, yoghurt, butter or anything healthy and fresh. Better if they did not advertise breakfast included.

This apartment certainly has character and original features . It is very local to the restaurants and a few steps from the piazza .

I went to the spa and soaked in the thermal waters, perfect for my V.F. walk the next day. .

The apartment was in a central location, easy to get around. It was clean had a well equipped kitchen. Franco the owner was very kind and knowledgeable when I had questions.

In the middle of a medieval town - we recommend it!

We are very happy that we could live in a house from the 15th century, in the middle of a medieval city - it was an amazing experience. We are happy to meet Franco, who is a nice, caring man, e.g. he prepared breakfast products for us, although it was not included in the contract. We admired his mini garden in pots, which decorates the street. The apartment has everything you need when traveling. Gambassi Terme is a good starting point to explore this less known part of Tuscany. Franco, thank you very much once again, you will stay in our good memory and cordiality!

Perfect apartment for anyone walking the VF

Great location on the VF in centre of town close to all amenities, yet quiet at night. Well equipped kitchen and a washing machine and clothes line with pegs, perfect for a walking pilgrim. Lots of extras such as items for breakfast, milk, water, and condiments for cooking. Franco is a wonderful thoughtful host
