A Tranquil One-Week Stay in Venasque

Mas de la Gonnette is tucked away in the beautiful landscape of Venasque. It's the perfect place if you need a tranquil holiday away from the city and technology (yeah, the Wifi is almost non-existent). The hostess, Anne-Francoise, is really sweet and helpful. She was there to greet us upon our arrival. The place was quite dusty but there was enough hand disinfectant to go around. It's quite centrally located: a 20 minute drive to Carpentras; a 5km walk/drive to St Didier (we highly recommend the walk - the views are magnificent); a 30 minute drive from Gordes and the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Senaque. The bakeries in St Didier have the most delicious baguettes, olive breads and almond croissants (along with other pastries). Also, be sure to try the glorious Cavaillon melon from Provence and some olive tapenade with those baguettes.

It's quite a drive from the main road. The road to the cottage is also not the greatest. Also, the idea of a "gite" was very new to us (it's not too clear in the description). We weren't aware that we had to bring own supplies; rubbish bags, toilet paper, dishcloths, dishwasher tabs, etc. Perhaps it should have been clearer in the description.

Rien

Insalubre, invasion de guêpes et abeilles,on ne pouvait même pas se baigner. Les lieux était Insalubre, sale,il n'y avait strictement rien même pas de sac poubelle. Rouleau de papier toilette. La propriétaire ne savait même pas que son frigo fesais congélateur, rien dans les alentours. Propriétaire étouffant, ne nous laissée jamais tranquille. Quand ma sœur et moi nous nous sommes baigner nous avons dû crier au secours pour qu'on puisse nous aider à sortir de l'eau ,alors qu'ils savaient qu'elle était allergique aux piqûre, ils sont venus 1/4 après, car ils ont eu peur que ma sœur se soit fait piquer. Non assistance à la personne en danger. Il fallait emmener notre maison avec nous tellement qu'il n'y avait rien. Route impraticable. Matelas pourri. Nous avons dû annuler notre séjour tellement que c'était horrible, sans tranquillité et la saleté. J'ai pris ma 1er douche les portes vous tombent dessus. Toutes photos à l'appui. Je ne recommande pas du tout se gîte. C'est pour cela que j'ai dû demander un remboursements.
