Place with nice views between the vineyards

We booked this property to visit many places around. The apartment was comfortable. The pool was nice as well. Getting there is a bit of a challenge, but everyone managed to. We would go back.

Magnificent place, breathtaking Tuscany in its finest

It is an absolutely fabulous old winery estate close to Siena and Florence and in the midst of Tuscany. Breathtaking. The home units are comfortable and well equipped and you have a lot privacy.

What can be improved is the road to the property which is a steep and quite an uneven rocky dirt road and hard to surmount with a normal car. Also I reckon air conditioning could be a welcome addition to the property. It gets really hot inside of the housing units during the day. Lastly I think a fresh bun / bread service would be a great added service, very few bakeries nearby

Beautiful property in the heart of Toscana, quiet and secluded.

The location in the vineyard is great but it takes time to reach. Supermarket is not nearby so it is recommended to do your shopping before if you intend to cook or have breakfast at the apartment.

Very Disappointing Stay, Not Worth the Price

“The apartment is visually appealing, with spacious interiors and multiple rooms. It is well-suited for four adults to stay comfortably.”

Our stay at Casalta di Pesa was far below expectations. Traveling with our 11-month-old twins, we faced numerous issues that significantly impacted our holiday. The most frustrating part was the rude and unhelpful attitude of the guest representative, Silvia. 1. Room Temperature Issues: When we arrived, the room temperature was fixed at 19°C and it was very cold. We couldn’t adjust it ourselves, so we waited until the next morning to contact Silvia. She said the temperature was centrally controlled and would increase it. However, when we returned in the evening, it was still 19°C. Only after another complaint did the temperature finally get adjusted. Having to deal with this during a relaxing vacation was frustrating. 2. Missing Kettle: The room did not have a kettle, which was essential for us to prepare formula and sterilize items for our babies. I repeatedly explained the urgency to Silvia, especially since the booking page stated that the room had one. Despite this, she said it could only be provided the next day. This was unacceptable and caused unnecessary stress. 3. Late Check-out Denied: On our last day, we asked for just a one-hour late check-out to wash the dishes, but the request was denied. We had to leave without cleaning up. Afterwards, we received a rude message calling us “disrespectful,” which was extremely upsetting. 4. House Conditions: The house was very damp, and our clothes stayed moist throughout the stay. This was uncomfortable, especially with babies. The kitchen was outdated and lacked basic items like salt or oil. The bathroom wasn’t very clean, and the pool had visible algae. Overall, for a property priced in a higher segment, the level of service and cleanliness was far from acceptable. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday turned into a stressful experience. Stylish stay in a beautiful setting – with a few issues

We stayed 3 nights at Casalta di Pesa with our baby. The apartment is beautifully furnished, with a great kitchen and living area. Baby cot and high chair were provided. The surrounding Chianti landscape is breathtaking, and the friendly gardener keeps the grounds in great shape & the cleaning lady’s have been very welcoming.

The access road is very rough – difficult without an SUV. There’s no personal check-in; everything is handled via WhatsApp. At night, the remote castle can feel a bit spooky. The bathroom could have been cleaner – there was some mold in the shower and on the showerhead.

We had a good stay overall, and with some small improvements, the house would be even better.

We loved the view and location of the house — it was a truly Tuscan setting surrounded by vineyards. The house was beautifully decorated in traditional Tuscan style, with a well-kept garden and pool. We also appreciated the possibility to use the grill, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

One downside was the lack of an on-site host — there was no personal check-in or welcome, just communication via SMS. While that may suit some guests, we would have appreciated someone there to greet us and explain the house. The kitchen was very poorly equipped for a house meant for six people: no dishwasher, only two very small fridges, and no proper utensils for grilling. Also, the bedroom wardrobes were large but had only a few hangers, making it difficult to unpack and stay organized.

Mitigated but definitely outpriced

The property is flawless from the outside and the location is great to have some rest especially with the swimming pool.

Our apartment was too hot 27 degrees when we checked in and the master bedroom has no natural light coming in. We had to open all the windows and doors to freshen a bit and we had mosquitoes coming in - very difficult to sleep. Unfortunately the water pipe broke during our stay and we spent 1 day and a half without water, not easy with children. Overall it would be good to modernise a bit the inside of the apartment otherwise it doesn’t worth the price especially during warm days.

The nearby towns and countryside in Chianti were stunning and the setting for the property was beautiful.

For the price charged, I expected a more luxurious apartment. It was initially very challenging to find the building which is located on a hillside up a dirt road. We had hoped to use the pool, but it closed early in the evening and opened at the 10am check-out time, so we were not able to use it.

Breathtaking view, on a hill surrounded by woodland and vineyards, with panoramic view on the valley. Peaceful and authentically renovated with a careful eye to tradition, not forgettting modern comforts. A pearl in the middle of beautiful Chiantishire.

There's no reception on site, to find the room is not that straigth forward. Parking is not sheltered.

Beautiful property, but a bit difficult to get to

It was a beautiful property, spacious and comfortable, very clean, with great views overlooking the vineyards. The staff provided a baby bed and high chair for us, which made us feel much more at home.

We were really disappointed that the pool closed for the season earlier than the listing said. Our daughter loves to swim and we had picked this property over others in part because it looked like the pool would still be open. The hill to get up to the property is very rough with a steep climb, loose gravel, and tight spaces. If renting a car, we would recommend choosing one with 4 wheel drive and ground clearance. Since there is no restaurant on site and the apartment is a bit remote, we ended up cooking more meals than at other places we've stayed. We would have appreciated if some basic cooking staples like oil and salt were included, because they don't make sense for travelers to buy for only one week.

Nice property in lovely part of Tuscany. Beware of the driveway.

Friendly check in, very spacious apartment, beautiful building, lots of character. Within 25 mins lovely Tuscan villages. Cot and high chair for baby were both provided & well maintained.

The driveway. 1.1km driveway takes almost 6 minutes to drive up/down. Wasn’t very convenient, especially with a baby. I feel it should be clearly stated in the property description (or better maintained). The bathroom. Although the rest of the property was very clean, there was lots of black mould in the silicone around the base of the shower cubicle. Also we felt €4 (4x€1 coins!) per use of communal washing machine was a tad expensive.

Stunning location, beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. Lovely renovated accommodation and a relaxing pool area. Nice to have washing machine, make sure you have 1 euro coins to work it.

Needs to be very clearly stated that a car is essential. We arrived by taxi and realised that the nearest town was not in walking distance (20 mins by car). We needed to get provisions and asked the hosts for help with a good taxi service number and help to book a hire car. There was no help with either, our texts were ignored. A B&B owner we found 1 mile away kindly worked with local people to give us food for our first night, this was humbling but also embarrassing for us. We spent the whole of the next morning making many phone calls to taxi’s that didn’t respond/turn up, and to car hire companies that had no vehicles. Eventually EuroCar in Siena were able to help and brought a hire car out to us as we had no means of getting anywhere to collect it. Once we had the hire car we had a great time we just wish we had been helped out more by the host to do this.

We love our stay here. Words can't describe the view and the place here. We just felt in love with it a minute we get there. Our room has the kitchen, living room, dining area, and 2 bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The place is quiet and very relaxing. A must stay!

The house and the aera were so beautiful and calm. It exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect! For us it wasn't a problem, but you really need a good car to access the area as it is on a hill.
