Lovely stay!

Perfect location in the center of Huelgoat. The room was lovely, spacious, quiet and very clean. The breakfast was simple but very good (hot beverage, bread and croissant with butter/jam, granola & yogurt, orange juice). I did catch a glimpse of one of the owner's cat in the corridor, which made me very happy :)

I didn't mind at all the following, but it's worth being aware: - The stairs to the bedrooms are rather steep. - The matress was very soft, which I love and some may prefer a firmer one. - The owner has pets (cats & dogs) so if you're sensitive, it's something to take into account. - In my bedroom, the shower and toilets were in the room, so if you're traveling with someone, there's not much privacy

I couldn't charge my cycle as no power point available for a battery that isn't removed from the cycle.

Comfortable and cosy.

La Mare aux Fées is a charming Guest House with a wonderful history and artifacts to match. The breakfast was perfect and it was lovely to be welcomed by the dogs and cat, a real home from home, and a perfect location for exploring Huelgoat Forest and the village.

It is the first room I've stayed in without any partition wall between bed and facilities, but being alone this wasn't an issue. And the other rooms share a standard bathroom, so you may want to opt for one of those if it is.

The lack of sleep wrecked my ability to house hunt as was falling asleep at the wheel by 15h00.

Pretty town in central area. Chambres d'hote down a busy street but traffic stopped around 11pm. Too noisy to keep window open as Brittany was experiencing an abnormally warm early September.

You definitely get what you pay for so, being on a budget, I can only offer comparison of 2 other chambres d'hote that were spacious and hyper clean. This is an older property and it showed - shower door didn't fit and zero insulation from guest above me. I heard him peeing, snoring and farting throughout the night and it drove me crazy. There was a hair attached to my bread at breakfast time and it wasn't mine 🤔. In the other places 2€ extra provided such a difference. I would have paid 42€ for the night at La Mare Aux Fées but appreciate the overheads of laundry costs and breakfast would be unattractive for the owner. It's a tricky market if you have an old house not designed as a chambred'hote so I want to be fair in my judgement as I used to manage rental houses.

I felt good there

Sweet little B&B on a central side street, very quiet at night, pretty furniture and little figurines everywhere, and a friendly host with an interesting life story to tell and a heart for animals. The breakfast included cheese as well.

Breakfast is nicely served in an overdecorated fairy-themed living, and based on delicious home-made looking products. The owners are very quiet - a bit of a cold welcoming - but are all ears for specific requests and very kind at heart. Wifi is free.

The room was rather cold. The furniture is somewhat old-fashioned, which would be charming rather for a specific demographic. Some of the double beds are two single beds gathered together, which can be uncomfortable.

It did not meet our expectations, but it was fine for one night.

The location of the B&B is quite nice, and the room was a nice size.

My husband is allergic to cats, and I am mildly allergic to dogs, both of which live inside the B&B. We wish we had known prior to booking as we likely would have chosen a different accommodation for the night. We also were not aware that the bathroom was literally inside the bedroom with no walls separating the toilet from the bed. We had to continually use the hall bathroom rather than the private one in our room as there were two of us staying together.

Bonne situation dans la ville, propriétaire disponible, petit déjeuner complet

logement dans son jus, propreté un peu limite notamment à cause des poils de chien / chat un peu partout. Un peu cher par rapport aux prestations mais il y a peu de logements dans le coin
