In the historic Suquet Des Arts. If you've ever seen the movie "Irma La Duce" it's a flat like that modernized Swedish style with a loft. It's on the top floor and halfway up the hill towards the church. If you have to work at the Palais or on the beach it's a short walk. It was clean and quiet so very easy to get work done. For frequent visitors vacationing to France this is a nice spacious apartment in a perfect spot to walk to the beach and enjoy a really cool neighborhood with great architecture. Some really cool and tasty places to grab a drink or a bite to eat right outside the door. Stairwell to beach about the same distance. And did I say the Church and the little Museum.

I love this place and everything about it, so I am biased. However, I do acknowledge there may be issues for someone depending on their needs. This might not the place for people who are not fit, can't do stairs, or want/need to rent a vehicle. You have parking garages nearby. But you have walk or take the bus to them. There are buses and I do know that technically they are capable of providing transportation for all needs. There is a bus stop not far from the door. I did see both motorized and non-motorized chairs and the buses were properly outfitted. But I also did see some non-motorized chairs and seniors with special needs huffing and puffing while trying to go uphill in some portions. And God help the mother of four who whose husband rented the place and now she has to carry one up to the top after the end of the day at the beach. Or the overweight sales rep who just finished a late-night business dinner plus two bottles of wine.

Great and quiet location.

The apartment is in the most ideal location in the old town of Cannes, in a quiet pedestrian street. Everything is close and quickly accessible, including the beach, the market, the city center, shopping streets and the coastal promenade! It is forbidden to enter the street by car. However, it is possible to drive in for a short period of time for loading/unloading, but then you must leave. You can park for free in the surrounding small streets (Rue du Pre, Rue Hibert) if there is free parking space available. We were lucky, we could always park. If there is no space, there is also a paid parking lot at the nearby Parkplatz le Suquet, which is free at night. The apartment is completely clean and well equipped. There are all the necessary kitchen and bathroom equipment, there is even an ironing board, clothes dryer, vacuum cleaner or two beach umbrellas that are essential on the nearby beach! Despite the very hot weather, the two A/Cs made the room comfortable! The beds were fine, even my 197 cm tall son could sleep well on the pull-out couch in the living room, and the bed on the gallery was comfortable as well. Minor disadvanteges (i) Due to the low roof I hit my head on the roof beam several times, so you have to be careful! (ii) the room is located on the third floor, there is no elevator, so it requires a bit of physical exercise. Wanda, our host, was very kind and helpful, she answered all questions quickly on Whatsapp! There are brilliant restaurants both in the street of the apartment (Tredici - Italian cousine) and in the immediate vicinity (Rue du Suquet)! In the cozy market at the bottom of the hill (Marche Forville) wonderful fruits, vegetables, fish, cheese and meat are also available every morning! It's a pleasure to sit here in the morning in the corner bakery next to the market with a croissant and coffee and enjoy the hustle and bustle! All in all I can only recommend the apartment! No question, would definately come back!

Minor disadvantages: (i) have to be careful with the low roof beam (ii) the room is located on the third floor, there is no elevator, so it requires a bit of physical exercise with the luggages in hand.
