Blue Beds Hostel

It was like every hostel which is available in Jaipur but found two major differences. They clean your bed and change bedsheet every single day. They also provide hot vegetarian home style food as per your requirement to their best possible capacity without grumbling.

The behaviour of the staff sitting on the reception was very rude. And I had to climb 4 floors to go to my dorm.

Fantastic staff, very helpful even after you’ve checked out! The food was tasty and for a good price, beds were comfy. Ideal for myself as a backpacker. Met some nice people there. Good WiFi too.

Staff were 10/10, helpful, flexible and friendly. Food was nice and great prices My bed for the 10 bed dorm was comfy Great location and a great deal to stay here.

Chair/terrace in the photo is misleading. Thought this was in the common area. Was surprised but felt the 4 bed was lower quality than the 10 bed, usually its the other way around so this should be made a bit more clear

The staff is very friendly! Many speak English and try to help and give advice! Absolutely lovely! Made it much easier to move around. The location is also nice!

Of course it is a hostel so I could not expect top notch rooms. For example there were some stains on the wall.

This is a conflicting review for me because my stay had both genuinely positive moments and some very disappointing issues. To start with the areas for improvement: I booked the penthouse expecting it to be higher quality than the rest of the hotel, but that wasn’t the case. The walls had noticeable water damage, which was surprising for a premium room. The bigger issue was that I didn’t have reliable hot water during my entire stay. On the first day, maintenance came several times, but the hot water only lasted 30 to 60 seconds before turning cold again. The next day it improved slightly, but only to about five minutes of hot water at a time before needing around ten minutes to reheat. The suggested solution from the manager was to fill a bucket with the five minutes of hot water and pour it over myself with a cup. This was extremely inconvenient for a penthouse stay. Another major issue was the private car package I booked through the hotel. I paid 3,500 rupees per day for two days and was told the driver would speak English. I later learned from multiple people that the standard rate should have been closer to 1,000 rupees per day.  I didn't complain once i found this out as I thought that maybe I was paying for safety and smooth hotel coordination. When the driver arrived, he did not speak any English at all. After ten minutes, I had to turn around because I couldn’t communicate even basic instructions. The hotel eventually sent a bilingual staff member to accompany me. Although that part was appreciated, the sightseeing experience still wasn’t smooth. When I asked to go to the local market to buy a saree and souvenirs, I was driven an hour out of town to a manufacturer where the prices were marked up heavily. I later found out that drivers take travelers there because they receive commission. I didn’t buy anything and ended up losing close to two hours of my limited time. On the second day, things got worse.
