Avia Blue Maisonettes - Messinia Gulf Retreat

Loved it! It was a modern, well-designed duplex flat (maisonette) with all the comforts one would need. Well-equipped kitchen, efficient air-conditioner along with a ceiling fan. The living room was very nice too - balcony in the front. Nicely decorated etc - it helped that there was a WC downstairs. The bedrooms upstairs were very nice with big wardrobes and each with its own balcony and with wonderful views and also good airco units which had a very silent feature which was great for nighttime. I have the same ones back home. Last but not least, the owners/managers of the flat - father and son - were extremely kind and helpful and did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. Thank you! :-)

My only complaints: all the pillows in both rooms were too hard for me and uncomfortable - I tried a few of them. I had to buy a pillow in the end which was softer and which suited me very well, after which I slept much better. Pillows are a very personal matter and I am sure the ones in the flat suit most people. I need to travel with my own pillow. The last thing is, for some reason, at certain times of the day or evening, I could hardly get any cold water in the bathroom - only for a couple of minutes and then it got warm very quickly, even on the coldest setting. Would have been nice to take a cool shower for example. Must be the water heater being overly efficient. These small issues (one of which was easily solved) did not take away the very positive experience I had overall and I would stay here again.

The home is super - it is spacious , centrally located , with nice view and it has all the amenities needed . You can find around anything you may need- pharmacy, restaurants.

The location was great and the apartment was spacious and clean. The upstairs balcony is great for sunsets.

The road at the front can be noisy at night so light sleepers should avoid but this is out of the owners control

It was exactly what we needed travelling with a 5 month old

Some previous damage to the property but we were informed on our stay. We did as for a cot but one wasn’t provided which is the only reason we didn’t give 10/10 but we travel prepared for anything.
