Neelam Bed & Breakfast

Breakfast was great. We could order what suited us . We could request for a hot cup of tea when we got back in the late afternoon. This was free of charge . A very hospitable experience and we were relaxed.

The shower in the single room . It needed the pressure pump to be switched on for the shower to work. Which is fine but this was not informed when we checked in . I was told only on the day we checked out .

The property is in perfect location, clean and spacious and the Sajni the host is incredible. Gave us so many recommendations for places to explore and where to eat, organised for a driver for the day which was perfect to see the city! Baleshwar was also great, always available to receive us at the property and made a fantastic breakfast. The room is very comfortable with great air con too. Felt very safe and looked after!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Excellent host - very helpful and accommodating! We wish her the very best.

Towels & sheet covers looked jaded/dirty. During our five night stay, the floors were not swept or mopped even once. Overall hygiene could be improved. Body wash soap not provided. Not everyone carries it, like we did.

My room was very comfortable and clean. Choice of overhead fan or air conditioning. Spacious bed and very good lighting in the room. Hot shower and hot water. Wi-Fi was excellent. Great location on Park Street, and within walking distance to Eden Gardens cricket ground. Sanji was a welcoming and friendly host. Great recommendations for local restaurants and she organised taxis to the airport, and a half day city tour customised to suit our requirements. Very enjoyable breakfast-freshly cooked omelette and delicious fresh fruit and local bread. We had a full Indian breakfast one morning with delicious local sweet yogurt. Plus homemade marmalade which was delicious! What more could you ask for!

Nothing really. It was situated off Park Street so it was pretty quiet.
