山荘 風の杜 Sanso Kazenomori

The view is fantastic! Dinner and breakfast were sumptuous!

The onsen is a little small. But the view was good.

街が一望できて景色がとても綺麗でした。 部屋もとても綺麗でした。

しいてあげれば、露天風呂の脱衣所に髪の毛がたくさん落ちていて、気になりました。

Absolutely fabulous! Incredible. The view, the view! One can see the entire city either from the room or from the onsen. There are free drinks in the lobby. It is very quiet, clean, spotless, impeccable. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is Japanese style and is ample. Very nice onsen, too. There are vending machines in the hallway. Large lobby with very comfortable chairs. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately there is no restaurant at premises, so we couldn’t have dinner. One would have to take a cab down to the city. But we could enjoy cup ramen from the vending machine. Breakfast tasted even better!

The place is amazing. It's very comfortable and there aren't too many rooms so it's not crowded at all. They offer free drinks that you can serve yourself, and the umeshu and yuzu juice were amazing. I spent a long time at the lobby just enjoying the view and the drinks. Our room also had an amazing view. The breakfast was huge and delicious, and it was served in a private room for us, which again had another amazing view.

The place is a bit in the middle of nowhere so you're not going to be able to leave other than with the provided shuttle or with a taxi. People with tattoos can't use the public bath but can rent the private one (which is really nice!). It's not too expensive at 3300 per hour and as far as I can tell four people can use it, but it's also not cheap if you're alone. The rooms also don't have baths or showers so if you have tattoos and want to wash up that's the only choice. This is mentioned on the website so it doesn't lower my opinion of the place. It's just inconvenient.
