The Retreat, Unique property located in calming woodland surroundings, Close to Aldeburgh and Thorpeness

A wonderful location, so tranquil and relaxing. Extremely comfortable beds. The rooms were bright and sunny. Very easy parking The grounds were full of wildlife and birdsong . A great start to the day to be able to go for a woodland walk and then back for breakfast outside Hope to come back soon

No milk or tea/coffee provided. Not an issue, but would have like to have been informed in the arrival instructions, as we had to turn around and go to the shops immediately after arrival.

Lovely location and had everything you would need.

Dealing with the hosts was smooth and efficient. We were even given a full breakdown of directions to the site. Inside the hosts left a manual which covered all bases thoroughly. And included any relevant emergency numbers and suggestions of local conveniences. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the basic utensils you could need. Which was ideal for our guosto meal box we brought with us. A night light situated in the hall was perfect for our evening arrival in the dark. The grounds were stunning although we didn't get to enjoy them fully due to the poor weather... Typical British weather! Thoroughly recommend the site! We are already planning when we can come back.

There was still a few items in the dishwasher and washing machine when we got there. Struggled to find the little turn off to lead us down to the retreat.
