Lamberts Bay Hotel

This is a charming real old-world hotel. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good; the eggs were cooked to order as you watched. In addition to bacon and sausages there were other hot beakfast items. Coffee, tea, fruit juice and canned fruit were available at breakfast. There is also continental breakfast available. The location gives quick access to the harbour and nearby restaurants. We enjoyed our stay - the staff were all friendly and helpful.

We stayed in Room 7 for three nights. The room can be improved by having an additional foldup luggage rack to be used by guests as required. The bathroom needs a small shelf where one can put a toiletry bag. The biggest issue was that the curtains are way too long and drape onto the floor. There was so much extra fabric on the floor that one could easily trip if you got up in the dark. The curtains should be shortened and provided with blockout linings.

Very central in town, close to harbour, very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast could improve in variety.

Location was perfect.

The carpets need a thorough clean.

Carpet is grey it was blue as a patch here and there shows. The bathroom needs a clean paint or tile, that khaki colour does not do it. Brown Scatter cushions smell.
