Great stay on the other side of Mahe with access to all the best beaches on the island. Car is a must here if you don’t want to hike and depend on the local buses. The owner has many fruits in her garden and a lovely dog ☺️

Good location and as it’s a guest house, it means it’s competitively priced. Gardens are stunning. Outdoor shower was useful.

If we’re honest, we felt like we were being watched all the time and it felt like Beryl constantly had her eye on us, to the point where I felt I wanted to avoid conversation and stay in my room until it felt I had the freedom to go to the kitchen or walk around the property. Whilst we totally understand that it is Beryl’s house and she wants things done “her way”, it felt way too strict. The room we were put in was a tiny twin room (we were a couple) and despite Beryl making clear to us that there were no other guests staying and that she “always did her bests to go above and beyond for guests” - she didn’t offer us a larger double room. We’re on holiday and so I never obviously confronted her about this, as we don’t want things to be awkward.

Car parking with easy access; the manager / owner was very nice and willing to share experiences and the property was very clean.

The room is very very basic (but very clean). Don’t expect any kind of sophistication. Bed, noisy fridge with a bottle of water, wardrobe, basic bathroom (although big); AC (old and was not working properly / turned off after a while - not a problem for us as we stayed just one night).

We rented a car so we were fine with the location. The main host Beryl welcomed us nicely. A polite Lady. Rooms were clean, sometimes we were treated with fruits from the garden. That was kind

There were so many rules which made our stay of not a good memory. I suggest these rules should be mentioned in the property description before placing the reservation to not face any disappointments: - We were not allowed to use kitchen accept breakfast (On what Host told us to use restaurant so my mom and me had to eat food cold) So, my advice if you are planning to cook yourself you need to check with other property before placing the booking (as the kitchen might be advertised on the pictures, but what's the point if you can't always use it) - Even one morning for breakfast we were refused to use kitchen because at the same time Host was cooking for other guests who paid around 20$ for breakfast, so apparently that was the priority and we had to stay hungry in our room for 1 hour until other guests finish the breakfast. - Front entrance should be locked and also if you are coming from the beach, you should go all around the house to clean the feet outside to enter the house - We had to ask Host for beach towels as apparently it was not included in the room - It is not allowed by host to use internet for WhatsApp calls or anything that requires more internet data to use. So, if you are going to watch movie before sleep don't dream about it :) - The check out time is strictly at 10 am and the check in 3 pm. Also, i would like to mention of the shower, there was not always hot water especially morning times as well as the water flow was weak. There were also other guests there which I think were respected more than 2 women traveling alone. Other than that, the owner takes care of a lot.
