Hari Niwas Guest House

All I can say is wow, wow, wow! We originally booked 3 nights at Hari Niwas guesthouse but ended up staying for 6, and it easily became our favourite stay in one month in Rajasthan and UP. Priya and Deepu are such caring and lovely women, always chatty and smiley and keen to feed us or give us chai. I arrived in recovery from food poisoning obtained in Jodhpur and they both helped me with natural remedies to help my stomach recover. Breakfast was so delicious and plentiful and Priya even kindly shared some home cooked snacks with us. We just really enjoyed seeing them every day! The room was beautiful and really comfortable, plenty of seating areas and also the rooftop has a lovely view of the palace. All sites and restaurants were within walking distance and the train station for our departure was very close by too. All in all, a perfect place to stay in Udaipur and we would recommend to anyone, and hope to return one day soon!

We loved everything about this guest house but above allwas the kind service of the two sisters who own and manage the place. A great breakfast and lovely rooms. Attention to details and fabulous location. Do not miss it!!!

There is nothing not go like

Spent a lovely couple of nights at the haveli. The place is kept very clean and it is right in the centre for easy access to all the sites. Breakfast was great with a choice of Indian or continental. The family running the hotel were great and went above and beyond to help us during our stay + they make amazing chai!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hari Niwas Guest House in the heart of Udaipur’s old city. The location truly couldn’t have been better — just a short walk to the entrance of the magnificent City Palace and surrounded by the vibrant market area, making it incredibly convenient to explore the charm and culture of the city. What made our stay truly special, though, was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were incredibly warm, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and made our experience genuinely memorable. The home-cooked breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. As a thoughtful gesture, they even packed food for us for our onward journey, which was such a kind and generous touch. If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming place in a perfect location with outstanding hospitality, Hari Niwas Guest House is a fantastic choice. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Udaipur!
