Grand Hotel Rogaška Premium

Meals were very good. Very good location, service is very good. Nice sauna area. Cleanliness was very good too. Rooms are good-sized, comfort beds. Good value for money.

A small pool and a small parking area can be a problem during the season. Rooms and bathrooms could be renewed for a bit of a luxurious feeling cause old hotel building is very nice.

What we liked: Beautiful historic hotel with elegant interiors, very clean and well maintained. The spa area was relaxing, the breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and the park around the hotel creates a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was professional and welcoming, and the overall experience felt peaceful and luxurious. We also really enjoyed the bar — the bartender was very stylish and charismatic, creating a fantastic atmosphere and playing wonderful music on vinyl records, which made the evenings especially memorable.

No kettle / tea or coffee equipment in the room; furniture dated; old equipment. The lobby and other facilities felt severely outdated in a socialist way - would wish for the old-school grand hotel feeling! At the listed price and 4* designation, the bare minimum would be more in-room facilities.

It a beautiful hotel in a historic building, surrounded by nature and manicured gardens. Truly special and suitable for relaxation. Food was varied, fresh and healthy. Rooms are spacious and clean, with high ceilings. Even if slighly outdated, the overall style of the place is what makes it stand out.

However, I felt really disappointed when I found out the indoor pool (the only working pool during the cold months) was not accessible for wheelchair users (it was only reachable via stairs, steep ones and not one or two). I called the reception prior our booking to make sure the place was accessible which they confirmed, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered going there. We were refunded for this inconvenience, still, I think such information shall be explicitly stated both on Booking and on Hotel Rogaška's website. Staff should also be trained in this regard, since such piece of information may be crucial for someone seeking accessibility. I also think it will be great if the indoor pool is made somehow accessible, given than the hotel is full of ramps leading to other places, except for the main one when it comes to spa and wellness.
